Last year, we were one of the best in the NFL, inside the red zone. We did this with Henne & Henning both in the same positions, and threw for 15 TD's. We also ran for TWENTY TWO TD's. This year, we have thrown for 8 TD's (about the same) but, have run for THREE TD's. Henne is the "Sacrificial Lamb" taking the blame for FG's vs TD's. How close to the benh would he be IF we ran for another 5-6 scores? Who is really to blame?
Al Groh and his global warming. If we had the answer to your question, we would be working for a NFL team.
Great Idea! Put her at RB, and let her dance into the end zone untouched. That's what you meant, Right?
I dont know what the kid is trying to do, or who is teaching him what, but he is not throwing the ball with his natural velocity, he's letting up on his throws, probably because of the fear of drops and worrying about touch too much.. This guy has pure arm talent, and being coached thru the mind of Pennington might of tamed him to a degree..He's not following thru consistently. here are some of the reasons why I think were not scoring too much in the redzone. The trajectory of Henne's passes are not condusive to red zone space, he cannot arc the ball over defenders with limited space consistently..every once in a while he gets lucky, but it just isnt natural for him...kind of like trying to put a fade on a golf ball when you have a natural draw. an elongated delivery...He has a hitch, and goes thru a pretty major wind up in his motion.. Tipped balls...This is due to his release point, its very flat and low upon release...nothing can be done about it. His hip's drop and hes a flat footed when he releases the football.. Lack of athleticism is hurting him at the NFL level...This man needs to go to an IMG boot camp from the waist down, he needs serious work on his footspeed...He cannot buy himself that extra critical second, critical in playmaking ability.
Yup.. I think he really needs to incorporate some plyometrics into his offseason training. I have a feeling he would be absolutely terrible at box jumps and dots right now.
