i doubt there's even five offensive coordinators like that. every coordinator has his style and a successful team has a GM who can get him the players that fit his style.

Well Dan Henning's style sucks. You run 11 times in a winnable game with a young QB. The guy is a senile SOB. And now coach is trying an experiment to see who's fault it is.

    Clown shoes.

I'd take an 0-16 season to see her calling plays on the sideline while smothered in aqua and orange body paint!!

well we'll just disagree. i think the only senile ones are the fans who think that way. ask belichik what he thinks of henning or some other defensive coordinators

Not right now, but I think he should be encouraged to retire after the season.

to get david lee as offensive coordinator? you know all we do if Henning retires is replace him with an offensive coordinator that runs the same offense but with less experience and David Lee is probably 75% certain to be the guy that gets elevated to the position. you dont think we're going to change offensive styles do you?

that is possibly the WORST thing i have ever heard. Get rid of everyone including players (over 28) and coaches. first of all lets list all the players over 28 years old next season:
    Penny
    Brown
    Sapp
    Harris
    Ricky
    Polite
    Bell
    Dansby
    Berger
    Proctor
    Wake
    Allen

there is some KEY players in there. And if you want to start over and do a complete rebuild (which we did 3 seasons ago), you want to start off by drafting a RB. By the time you do get to be a legit contender, your RB will be past its prime. Its funny how hardly anyone knows how to build a team from the ground up.... Let me give you a little insight... YOU START IN THE TRENCHES. You get a good o-line and D-line, THEN you go after your superstars and glamorous positions (QB WR RB). Because if you start building your franchise with a QB and no o-line, he wont survive and will be so beat up by the time you become contender that it wont matter that you had him... Thats exactly how the lion, raiders, texans, browns have been doing it for years and it hasnt worked out yet! Our regime has built this team the right way so far, and now they are getting to the time in the rebuiding process where they can start adding those glamorous positions and studs and they have started it (Marshall, Dansby) but you cant do that all in one offseason. Now they have to decide if henne is the future, and if they think so, then they will live and die with him... hes not the only QB to be benched and then come back and play good. If they think he isnt the franchise QB, you'd better believe they will go out and get there guy who they think is the franchise QB... If you look at where they drafted henne, they werent drafting him with the expectations of him being a franchise QB, if they did they wouldnt have passed on him for Merling.

Rebuilding takes time! But if we fire everyone we WILL be starting over, AGAIN, the rebuilding process and it will take 2 or 3 more seasons to get back to where we are now. I agree we cant keep this whole staff but we cant fire them all. I think Ireland, sparano and nolan need to stay, possibly Lee too.

There is no way that any offense can be succesful if you take away half the field. That is in effect what happens in games that Henning calls.

CP10 is the only Qb suited to play in this pityful scheme. That is not a good thing either. Because if the only Qb that can play in our system is INCAPABLE of getting it done against great defenses then we will never make it deep into the playoffs.

It is completely and totally mind-boggling and dumfounding to me that 13 people said no.
Must have been Henning and his friends and family, because nobody with an ounce of football knowledge who has watched any Dolphins game this season would vote no.

If I had a Billion Dollars....

    Id fire Dan Henning.

Then Id offer him 3 million dollars to come back and be the OC for the Miami Dolphins.

Then Id fire him again 10 mins later just for ****s and giggles.

    Im dead serious.

No, David Lee wouldn't be my first choice. And yes, I want them to change styles.

Odd thing. I didn't notice any coaches out there throwing interceptions or under throwing receivers.

Beyond that comment I say fire them all and toss out the dead wood. I'd fire sale a lot of old players during the off season and do a complete rebuild......and this time do it right

they will never change styles so would you be for firing Sparano and Ireland and starting a brand new rebuilding process? Waste the last two and a half years and start another three year rebuilding process that will be cut short because the team doesnt win a super bowl quick enough for the fans or owner?

If they call Sunday's game the way they did for Henne with max protect galore then yes. They need to throw passing options out there. Pennington is better at preparing for a possible overload blitz.
