Oh well, long way to go. Plenty of time for us to improve, and I'm sure Miami will too. Wade had a great game tonight. Good game, Heat fans.
The Heat played outstanding. It would appear though that the only Magic player that made the trip to Miami was Howard.
Don't get be started on that bum. He's a few notches better than Carter. Neither one should ever be mentioned in the same breath as Wade or Kobe.
From an outsiders perspective, at least to me, Lewis always seems to vanish when hes up against a good team, every tough playoff series seems to end up turning into Where in the World is Rashard Lewis.
Not really. He made some huge shots against Cleveland two years ago. He's really clutch. The offense just doesn't revolve around him and he doesn't always get the shots he needs to put up big numbers.
Speaking of that, here's the breakdown for this year's salaries. If Carter's going to have another 'hot & cold streak' season like last year, then I'd say he's ridiculously overpaid. 35 Malik Allen $854,389 33 Ryan Anderson $1,409,040 30 Brandon Bass $4,000,000 15 Vince Carter $17,522,375 25 Chris Duhon $3,500,000 13 Marcin Gortat $6,322,320 12 Dwight Howard $16,647,180 9 Rashard Lewis $19,573,711 14 Jameer Nelson $7,800,000 21 Daniel Orton $1,028,400 20 Mickael Pietrus $5,300,000 7 J.J. Redick $7,250,000 5 Quentin Richardson $2,265,000 44 Jason Williams $854,389 http://espn.go.com/nba/team/roster/_/name/orl/orlando-magic
Magic beat the Timberwolves 128-86 tonight, setting a franchise record for points scored in the first half. Nice win to bounce back after the Heat game and the Knicks postponement.
Nice win against the Nets, 105-90. Dwight had 30 points & 16 rebounds. We've got the Bobcats Saturday night @ 7pm (Fox Sports). Orlando has beaten the Bobcats 4 times in a row in NC. Charlotte's 1-4, and winless at home so far; we're looking to win our first away game. Go Magic!
According to the shot chart, he hit 9 of them. Gotta play the visiting Utah Jazz tonight @ 7pm on ESPN. They've had a couple of strong comebacks recently, the latest in Miami last night. They won in OT after being down by 22 against the Heat, so hopefully our team knows what Utah is capable of.
First year watching the NBA? Back to back on the road after expending all that energy to steal that game from Miami? Orlando wins by 30 tonight.
Good point; I guess I was looking more at what they'd accomplished and wasn't taking into account that they might be worn out.
Looks like you nailed it but the Magic didn't heed your warning. Sad part is we now have as many losses as the Heat.
Yea, I do. I mean, you guys aren't as good as we all thought you were going to be. Or at least, you're not now. Miami doesn't scare me, especially since Dwight has taken his game to another level so far.
A. We are 9 games into an 82 game season. B. We beat you guys by like 30 even though the big three played an average of like 20 minutes. Maybe the Heat won't be the best team in the league this year, but from all evidence they are better than the Magic.
Ever heat fan was talking about an NBA championship in the offseason. So, I don't see how saying the heat aren't as dominating as we though so far fetched. And I know they beat Orlando. But we'll see how they fare against Orlando when Dwight isn't in foul trouble. And, the big 3 played at least 30 minutes each, with wade playing 34.
I must be the only one tired of hearing about "the big 3". As much respect that I have for the Heat & Lebron/Wade, it is a shame that Chris Bosh is even mentioned in the same breath as them...He's an undersized PF on a team that already lacks presence at the 5 spot. As a magic fan, I am actually very thankful that Miami decided to go after Bosh. One can only imagine how unstoppable that team could have been with a dominant C or PG. The Heat arent bad because of Bosh, but they certainly could have been a lot more fearsome if they went another direction. As to the first match up against Orlando....let's not act like the Heat didnt beat the Magic last year during the regular season, and I don't think they hand out trophies for winning the 2nd game of the season, with that first match up at home no less. Both teams are going to win plenty of games and make noise in the postseason. But the reality is for both squads, it appears that there is a need for them to be clicking on all cylinders to put the other good teams to bed. Theres just no guarantees of that, even with having 2 legitimate superstars like Wade and Lebron.
sigh. They lost 4 games by 18 points combined. It has taken Millsap hitting 3 3's in 29 seconds while he hit 2 in the previous 5 years. it has taken a Ray Allen career game to beat us last night. All the while we are still ranked #1 in defense and average 22 points as our margin of victory. You are just not paying attention. The way they are struggling, suggests that when they hit their stride, (and they will) it is going to be scary. John Hollinger just moved The Heat to #1 in his power rankings...at 5-4. That should tell you something, although I suspect that it won't.
Excuses, excuses. Point is, you lost. The unstoppable heat let Utah come back after they were down 20. The unstoppable Heat can't beat Boston. What does that tell you so far? If John Hollinger put the Heat anywhere other than number 1, he would be an *** to you. But now he's great because they're number 1? Yea, that makes sense.
I did not make ONE SINGLE excuse. Everything I stated is a fact. Everything I stated occurred. "So far" means nothing..because if it did...it would mean that Orlando would never beat the heat ever again. We are nowhere near what we will be. Everybody else is a finished product. and Utah? puhleese. at least we got them on rest. They came back on you in the second of a back to back after they partied all night on south beach. why do you think I thought that Orlando would beat them by 30?
