For Pete's sake, 4 sacks, 1 TD 2 fumble recoveries?

Did Omar Kelly go all in on his Training Camp prediction about not seeing anything from Misi so he just is continuing to push that angle?

Yeah Misi has been quitely solid. Omar sounds like a lot of the negative posters here, waiting for one or two slip-ups so he can shout "told ya so!"

Sounds like someone who will not change their opinion on a player. Even after the player proves otherwise.

Kinda like some fans here who loved or hated a pick and now that he's not what he could be, they still push the love or hate.

Here is what I don't "get", when Misi makes a play, he "vultures" it, when Jason Taylor made the same play "ballhawk"?

Misi has been productive, what does OmarK think he is going to do, leap offensive linemen and sack the qb? He is a good productive Rook DE to OLB conversion player, not an all pro but you can see Misi make a Rookie All Pro team.

Now I'm cheering twice as hard for Koa to break Brommell's rookie sack record.

The only thing I don't like is the obfuscation of the facts. Koa Misi only rushed the passer 10 times in Baltimore. That's it. Just 10 times. But in those 10 times he recorded 1 QB Hit according to Pro Football Focus, and by Omar's own admission Koa shared in two of Cameron Wake's sacks, to the point where Omar felt like the NFL was probably going to reduce at least one of those sacks to a half sack for Wake.

And yet when he talks about Koa in pass rush, he's pointing out the snaps when he did not successfully get any pass rush.

When Misi makes all pro, Omar will spin it somehow to justify his criticism.

He is a self appointed Guru, dont you know.:wink2:

What bothers me is OmarK does not recognize what he is seeing.

    "Misi was glued to blocks"

Misi is not the type of player who will generate some tremendous speed rush, what he does is keep himself alive during plays then plays off of the block when he has a shot at making the play, he bullrushes, reads the Qb then comes off of the block for the sack or fumble recovery.

Omark apparently thinks if the player doesn't dip their shoulder and go under the block, or collapse the pocket, he is not being effective.

I'm pretty sure Omar killed them when Misi was picked and like any stubborn mule, he won't admit he might have been wrong....

I bet if you looked real hard, Zach Thomas' scouting report probably has something very similar in it.

Not sure why Omar is so married to this opinion. He needs to let it go already.

I still think Misi's future is at ILB.

    I wouldn't mind

    SOLB: Wake
    ILB Misi
    ILB Dansby
    WOLB: Phil Hunt...:shifty:

No lie I could see Misi at ILB. He has the skill set, and does lack the various pass rush moves currently, although I suspect he will gain some as time goes on...but if a mast pass rusher that would fit at SOLB is sitting there, might be smart thing to do...

I won't rule it out but right now it's very hard to imagine because he's actually a good pass rusher and it's the mental part of the game he's having trouble with. Which makes him the exact opposite of fit for ILB as opposed to OLB.

He is such a good, physical athlete, that to me it makes sense, it would move Crowder out but that is how things go sometimes.

I am dead on CFLer Phillip Hunt, would like to see Irish snag him in his option season as he has the skills to make the jump imo.

And you know how much they like to sign low level FA's to create room in the draft to take other needs.

Omar Kelly is a ****ty writer with a tremendous ego relative to what he actually knows?

A guy who has repeatedly confused 3-technique positioning with a linemen having responsibility for 3-gaps should not be making talent assessments.

Ah, OmarK is actually there watching these things though, so you have sift through his report and boil it down to facts.

I don't know man. He has a pretty good skill rushing the passer from the outside. Put him inside and imo he disapears.

I think his real skill is timing Ozman, he has great feel for the game and that is what would make the transition work imho.

Plus he can come off of blocks at will, one of the best I've seen in a rook at shedding a guy when he has to shed them.

Wait what? A guy is responsible for 3 gaps? The guy would have to be 9 ft tall and move like Devin Hester to even have a chance.

Please tell me you're making this up.

I've seen him do it 2-3 times, this is the only one I could find-

    http://articles.sun-sentinel.com/20...6-20100505_1_dolphins-jared-odrick-penn-state

There was another example where a camp body Nose Tackle prospect was being interviewed and was clearly talking about playing 1, 2, and 3-technique positioning in college, but Kelly went in and inserted (gaps) in parenthesis afterwards. No doubt muttering to himself how the ignorant masses probably wouldn't understand what he was talking about anyway.

Could you imagine the players face.

But so far outside of one sack, he has shown with his pass rush moves(bull rush), his ability to shed blocks, he doesn't actually need space to be effective. He's already a better cover guy the Channing, now the question would be, like CK brings up, would he be able to pick it up mentally, diagnose plays etc..

  31. Ozzy

He is more of a speed rushing Lb from the outside. When engaged he does not bull rush imo. I see him using leverages and he is very good at applying pressure to get the Qb to hurry his throws.

I think we have a really good prospect for the inside but he is on IR right now...

Wasn't Omar the one who wouldnt even refer to Misi by name during the preseason? He kept calling him "55"....Seems like someone who disagreed with the draft pick trying to stick to their hate filled guns.

    This after Omark referenced this:

What more can be said? Omark just does not like Koa Misi's game as he points out "in 280 fewer snaps" but does not believe if Koa had those extra snaps that he would have produced more with them.

Koa has 4 sacks, 4 short of tying Brommell's rookie record of 8.

Not really, in fact none of the Dolphins bloggers seem to know what they are seeing during mini camp, ota's and training camp.

But it is fun to keep track of:

Omark also said Wake may not make the team in 09 and people tend to remember it..really well...:chuckle:

He wants to keep throwing bad things about Misi's game against the wall hoping something will stick. So then he will be able to say I told you so like he is some talent guru.

Clown is about all I come up with that won't look like this #### Breath :)
