The offense lacks a crispness, to me, Henne will always put up stats just due to the talent, but he is not a very good Qb imo, the System is propping him up he is not making it work. 4-4 at the turn, Sparano should pour himself a cup of coffee and ask himself some hard questions.
Well... He was 8 tds and 7 ints going into this game I think.... So now he's problably what 8 tds and 10 ints ?
Well..... The one saving grace is this should be an EXTREMELY interesting week here at thephins.com. If trains wreck entertainment is your thing....TOOOOOOOT TOOOOOOOOOOOT!!!! Chugga Chugga here it comes!!!
why doesnt henne atleast ****ing look at marshall?! why not throw it deep and get a pass interference penalty?!?! its so mind boggling......
I don't know, doesn't the QB also have to have a little accountability? They're in a hole now but maybe they should consider Penny before they're technically eliminated. They need a spark.
I don't know Padre. It's still a young team, a young QB, and a young season. I wouldn't give up on the kid quite yet.
dead wrong, the D held the ravens to what..5 Fg's? The offense was handing over field position the entire game.
Because Henne sucks, and when he does throw deep to Marshall and their is interference it doesn't get called.
Is the point of the 2010 Dolphins season to allow Henne to lose games? If so, fine, I thought it is about winning, Henne isn't getting it done.
I think the problem is that the system is not right for Henne; it's right for someone like Pennington. But in no way was the 2008 version of Chad Pennington going to do anything against the Ravens today. Where was the vertical passing game? Why was Ronnie Brown not getting carries? Why do you start a drive with a bubble screen? Why so many drops? It's any number of things, and yeah, Henne played a bad game, but this offensive system as a whole is not producing. Period. That falls on the shoulders of the coaching staff to make the necessary changes; they have not.
Oh you want the guy who threw 4 INTs against Baltimore in the playoffs in 2008? Yeah that'd work just fine
I knew someone would say that. This is clearly not the same team as that one. Penny was getting killed by the pass rush in that game. This line was generally giving Henne plenty of time. Let's hear a real argument.
This. This might be the biggest (potentially) unanswered question of all by this coaching staff. It'll be asked. And it will go unanswered. And for that, I will be extremely disappointed.
What a joke. The best anyone has is that it didn't go well two years ago so it wouldn't go well now. This WR corps is much better than two years ago. So is the pass protection.
I told you guys before this game that we had to keep it close...13-10 I said or else it would be a long day. Our history against this team, and the lack of our offenseive production this season, meant that we couldnt afford a game in which we would have to play a high scoring game and score in the 20s. We wouldnt be able to do it. The defense needed to match the Baltimore defense and come to play. It didnt. Our offense needed to win the game by scoring more than the other team against the Baltimore defense, and it didnt. Missing opportunites as always. the end
This. When our ground game isn't working we rush 20+ times. Today, RB is finding holes and making them pay and we abandon it. What. The. ****.
He's having to run play action from under center with only 2-3 receivers on the field against a defense expecting pass with Ed Reed one of them and his receivers dropping lots of passes or falling down. Who wouldn't look scared?!
When it was mentioned, "do you think Pennington would have missed a wide open Fasano in the endzone"? My only answer was "no", and then I had my answer.
You want a real argument? You are lamenting missing out on a guy who hasn't exactly been burning it up this y ear. Not sure what makes you think he will tear it up for us, or even want to?
