Wagon Circler oh really? bottom line is, miami did more than pittsburgh in that game. its easy to say you should have scored. stop being so biased. yeah, we should/could have scored 50 touchdowns and they wouldnt have a chance, but we didnt. we still scored enough to win, and we still had more points on the board than pittsburgh. last time i checked, the team with more points wins, not the team that takes all of its chances. that is, until the refs award them 3 points. why not just start the game 3:0 for the steelers, and say well you should have scored more touchdowns? that isnt how the game is supposed to be played. have a nice season, you're doing great so far

the refs should have not ruled the touchdown, because the one who signaled didnt even see the ball. they should have let it play out, like it was always done, and like common sense dictates

No, Pitt was AWARDED the game if YOU didn't notice. It shows up in their win column and that's it!

You're a part of maybe a 1% population who feels that Miami wasn't robbed, and that includes analysts, players, and coaches. Steeler fans said that we were hosed on the call. Even Steeler players and coaches indirectly stated that they were lucky to walk away with the win.

How's it feel knowing that you're in the minority of people who don't have a clue as to what they're saying?!

The reality is we only know we should have had the ball at the 20 yard line with about 2:28 left. Given that we started at the 29 and only down by 1 the offense was only able to move the ball 4 yards on 4 downs it is likely our defense would have had to make one more stop of keeping Pittsburgh from kicking a field goal.

You can't really say this b/c the poor call gave all the momentum to Pitt while deflating us. If the call were made correctly, we would've been on a high with ALL the momentum, and Pitt would've been deflated. We could've very well picked up a few first downs and eaten up the clock just as we had done on the previous drive.

Please don't tell me you are serious about this post. I can't imagine Brady, Manning, or any offense worth a crap that would have been deflated being down by "1" point with the ball at the 29 and 2:20 left to play.

I can pretty much assure you that Pittsburgh's defense would NOT have been deflated under those conditions. This is a championship type ball club that have faced adversity before. Three timeouts plus the 2:00 warning to force Miami to punt the ball. Gimme a break...DEFLATED? NO WAY!

That's not true, because there was no evidence of who recovered the ball, the ball goes back to the spot of the fumble, which was the half yard line.

The problems with the play in regards to the refs were...

    A) not doing what they're taught to do and let the play go as a fumble so they can decide who recovered and this way all the bases are covered.

    B) not checking to see who had the ball in the pile just in case it was a fumble, since it was such a close play. People are complaining that this wouldn't be fair to the Steelers because once it gets ruled dead and a TD they have no reason to fight for the ball, but that argument doesn't make sense because there's been multiple occurrences over the past few years where even though the ball was blown dead, players went after the ball just in case, and if the replay showed a fumble, the ball was rewarded to the team who recovered the ball...even though the whistle blew the play dead. That's what I'm pissed about. We DID get screwed.

I expect there to be some tweaks in this rule.

You're absolutely right. Things like momentum and adrenaline are contrived words/football expressions that only exist in our imaginations. Obviously you've never stepped foot on a field before.

This. It's just a Bills fan being an ***, and trying to rub in a loss even more so...

But their season ended in October, enough said.
