No, what I am saying is the magic "#1 Wr" is not all he has been cracked up to be per your expectations..:D

As for Ginn, honestly we could use the extra speed on offense otherwise this "sign Moss stuff would be moot.

No the WR is who we thought he was..........it's not his fault this staff only drives for FG's.

As for Moss being "moot" if Ginn were here?

No........ We'd still have an interest in Moss to replace Ginn's lack of production and overall suckitude....

What you need to do is imagine how things would be for Henne and this offense had we not acquired Marshall and just kept Ginn.

DC's would be more concerned with Ginn then they would Hartline right now.

    Why?

    Because he's fast?

The guy can't get off the LOS without being knocked from a fly to a curl pattern..... he's just too soft for the NFL.

I'm not saying he would have been a pro-bowl player but they do miss his speed and like it or not he did catch a few long passes for TD's without playing with a #1 which is more than what they are getting out of Hartline. I'll stop beating a dead horse because Ginn or his family will never be a Miami Dolphin again. But I agree with padre's original point. With Ginn, Moss would have been a luxury rather than an necessity.

The point that we could use some "speed"....... ok fine

The point that Ted Ginn should be that guy? He had his chance here and another chance in SF.......and did nothing with either so i don't even get why he's being brought up.

Because they peddled him and did not replace him, now we have no burner on offense and it limits what the offense can do down the field.

As predicted, it was completely foreseeable.:wink2:

But you act like he actually offered enough to warrant a roster spot...the guy was invisible for all but about 2 games per season over 3 years.

The fact is, Ted Ginn himself limited what we could do down field because for the most part, he sucks.

We lost nothing..... needing some speed doesn't mean we need Ted Ginn.

I don't think anyone is saying that we need Ted Ginn. I see people saying that we need someone who has speed like him.

Oh stop..... the beast catches a Ted Ginn season's worth of passes in a game.

Sorry but this doesn't mean you guys that wanted to keep Ted Ginn were right......... his stats in SF say that you were not.

Ain't no shame in my game..baby!

    :D

I do think we should have kept him IF they were not going to replace his skillset, we got a Cb who is injured more than he plays for him, and no Speed in Returns, and no Speed in the Wr Corps.

Why? Because Ginn made some dolfans mad? How are you going to replace something with nothing?

Has beast singlehandidly won 2 games in Miami?

    Hartline? Bess?

    NOPE.

He was replaced because he sucks....... that's all.........I mean he really , seriously......sucks. As they are finding out in SF, he has no "skillset"....he's just fast and if you let him continue to run kicks out of bounds at the 16 yard line enough times, he might break a long one on occasion.

And he didn't "singlehandedly" win anything......... he was a big part of a win over the Jets with 2 KR's for TD's. Stop trying to credit him with a win for that ONE freaking long TD catch he made in that other Jets game. That's total BS and you know it.....

Wanting to get Moss has nothing to do with Ted Ginn, needing speed on this team has nothing to do with Ted Ginn........ he was a useless WR. .......useless

I'm holding two (actually three or four, Bills game in 08, last Jets game in 08) wins with Ted Ginn, what are you holding?

Ted Ginn is washing out of the NFL on a weekly basis..... just as I predicted he would. :wink2:

He had blazing speed and we let him go because that speed was **** on a bull.....useless

At the current rate Ginn will be out of the NFL in a couple of seasons. He has Speed and that is it, nothing else. He is a complete bust.

Tsk tsk tsk, Hyperbole is no replacement for facts JS, TG won two games last season, Beast has a bunch of catches, 1 TD, and yet one does a victory lap?

In your own mind my man, in your own mind, Ginn missed 4 games with a sprained MCL and he is playing on a dreadful 49ers team, Beast has no such excuse.

The locker room ordeal strikes me as a one sided impression of what occurred, with seemingly no perspective offered regarding any other possible reason, or manner in which it could have played out.

So I put myself in his shoes, and considered how it could have happened to me?

"The caterers were apparently well known, and liked by the players."

    Did Moss know them?

"It was a "mom and pop" operation,"

Mom and Pop operations are known for developing personal relationships, and loyalties with their customers, who arguably, could be quick to defend them.

Have you ever been exceptionally hungry, and wanted to eat somewhere, but was told, then expected, then obligated, to eat somewhere else, or worse, something you didn't even particularly want?

Then, unaware of who cooked it, your led into some makeshift, homemade buffet line, and you find food thats been laying out, that perhaps doesn't look, or smell
( particularly in a locker room) to the standard your used to?

I get grumpy quickly when people place themselves between me, and my food, when I'm hungry.

As for the waiver list, I'm not sure how many of those teams would be interested in pursuing their rightful order of claim, if they sensed Randy Moss of all pickups wasn't entirely interested in playing for them.
I'm not so concerned about our place in line, as much as where he may actually want to play.

Lastly, a few notes on the status and likelihood of his ending up here.

The only reason I keep hearing why the Dolphins are interested in Moss is because "they want to keep him away from the Patriots"... Really? That's pathetic.

I seriously doubt this will happen, however, I do see us claiming Merriman.

Wondering if anybody saw this, if it has already been posted sorry...

The forums section on Randy Moss' personal website names four teams Moss could potentially land with, and is asking readers to voice their opinions as to his destination.

The website is presumably run by someone close to Moss, or Moss himself. The teams are Seattle, Miami, St. Louis, and Tennessee. Of them, the Rams have the highest waiver priority, though it's unclear if Billy Devaney's club has serious interest. The Seahawks are next, followed by the Dolphins and Titans, respectively. The Redskins can make a claim before any of them.

How many games did we lose because we did not have a true #1 WR, i.e., Ginn was a bust, crap WR who rarely had a good game in his career.

Yes, we need more speed in the WR corps. Ginn has not/ would not solve our issues right now.

He did a good job of volleyball on a perfectly thrown ball that ended up in Darren Sharper's hands.

And dropped a couple potential TDs against the Colts.

Other than that..he was the most awesomest receiver ever :shifty:

Does anyone know if the team with the worst record already put in a waiver claim....would they just announce it now?

Lets say Buffalo put in a claim....nobody can beat them in claiming him...will they still wait until 4:00?

They should put teams on the clock :)

So that would leave St. Louis, who I dont think pulls the trigger, IDK gut feeling, and Miami...

I do believe Denver will be in the mix....I dont discount the McDaniels/Moss/Pats connection, and that division is wide open....every team is still in it...

Vikings fans have wanted to fire Childress for the last three years. The Randy Moss debacle is just the latest reason. Sort of like how 2004 was the last straw in the Dave Wannstedt era.
