The Official What was the last movie you saw??

I just watched Ravenous. Just a fun horror movie set in the mid 1800's. Canabalism, Indian legends and a lot of good natured "ribbing".

 

Great movie. The last movie I saw was The Road which also involved cannibals.

 

Wahlberg's character was intentionally written to act like he did, or so I've read somewhere.

They really made him come off like a pansy.

The whole thing was dead from the jump though. Clever marketing though when you don't have a good story.

 

Megamind- good movie. Its weird watching a animated kids movie and hearing the following songs. OZZY- Crazy Train, GnR- Welcome to the jungle and AC/DC- Highway to Hell & Back in Black. During Back in Black my 6 yr. old daughter says to me "thats your favorite band" I couldnt believe she knew that was AC/DC and that it was my fav band. LOL

 

The wonderful Whites of West Virginia

It comes off as a movie exploiting rednecks and the lifestyle they follow. But it actually gives you a pretty surreal look into the f-ed up life of coal miners and their families. Its directed by Johnny Knoxville, it was pretty decent.

 

I just watched Scott Pilgrim vs the World. If you haven't seen it, watch it. If you have...Watch it again.

 

It's actually French. There are some great horror films coming from France lately. Martyrs is one of the best.

 

Very true, I was really moved by the movie "High Tension". France has really put out some great horror movies this decade.

That movie blew hard.

If you haven't seen the previews, then by all means watch it. Problem is that it's one of those movies where they show 90% of funny stuff in the previews.

I did some research after watching the movie, because I was outraged that something like that would happen. Turns out there was alot of made up stuff in the movie (go figure) and it wasn't as plain as they made it out to be. Good movie, none the less.

 

Better yet, just take out M. Night Shyalaldkmdkam and we'll all be rescued from those sort of movies

 

Law Abiding Citizen - Great, great movie. You root for the villain

Street Kings - Keanu Reeves and strangely entertaining. I generally hate Keanu but I kinda got into this movie about corrupt cops

Jonah Hex - Decent, nothing special

I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell - one of the worst movies I have ever seen. Tried desperately to shock you into laughter and instead made me wince as I dont think I laughed once

 

I really enjoyed that one as well.

Just got done introducing my wife to the Back to the Future trilogy. She had never seen them.

They showed all 3 on some channel or another and we recorded them. I have to admit, that even though they are easily one of the most beloved movie series ever, they are still underrated.

 

I actually think back tot he futures are overrated.

What the hell was there to like about Street Kings?

Keanu Reeves doing the same roles he's done for years (this one being a combo of Point Break/Constantine) and poor Forrest Whitaker getting stuck in another weak role.

Just another ****ty cop movie, imo.

 

I finally saw Avatar last night. It was nothing like I expected it to be. I really had no clue what it was about except it had CGI blue people running around. I thought it was good (kind of long though) but not good enough for me to run out and buy it on DVD or oen of those movies I could put on it the background while I do stuff around the house. I still have no clue how it made all that money at the box office though.

I watched last night on Ovation. I think it was Spielberg's first movie; it came out in 1971. The movie has only one major character and few others, so not a big cast. Pretty cool movie about mind games and road rage that go from bad to worse.

I recently saw "Primer". It's the "Clerks" of sci-fi...Highly recommend it as a great underrated film made for only $8,000. Very smart, very realistic for it's genre.

 

Watched The Other Guys last week and found it very funny and enjoyable. Typical Will Ferrell movie , so if you tend to like him , this should be a good movie to view.

Stay to the very end , or watch till the very end of the credits ....

 

The Other Guys sucked.

 

Watched several movies on past few flights....

1) The Last Airbender - ehhh, left a lot to be desired
2) The Karate Kid - not as good as original...but enjoyed the different story arc all the same
3) The A-Team - thought it was good story and entertaining
4) Marmaduke - Silly flick
5) Salt - Best of the bunch...very entertaining
6) Crazy Heart - Enjoyed it, but not sure about all the Oscar buzz
