Take it for what it's worth but, we will see the WC this weekend, and don't be surprised to see Wild Thig running it. JMHO.
im sure we will see the wildcat on sunday, cincy runs it every now and then + teams throw it in there on us once or twice.on the other hand cincy seems to be a team we could run it well against.
If Henne god forbid gets hurts and Thiggy, not Pennington comes in I'm going to be pretty upset. WC can come back to help the running game if they really think it works, but run it with Ronnie not Thigpen.
I am all for Miami passing out of it to get the defense to stop crashing the gaps. If Miami only plans on running out it I say put the wildcat to sleep. That would be the only compassionate thing to do for Dolphin fans.
Rumor has it that Henning will call a few plays we disagree with as well. Also, water is wet and fire is hot.
If we see it then it had better be on third and one. At least then we have a chance to get a first down with our less then 2 yards per play WC offense.
Less time practicing the WC. More time practicing screens, draws, and two minute offense. We've gotta be the worst in the league at all three.
IF we run the true wildcat, I'm talking unbalanced line with a pulling guard, then I'm all for it. We used to average 8 yards a pop out of that formation. But this season has been marred with this faux wildcat formation. We've not used it to our advantage, have not attempted to establish mismatches or honestly even attempted to run our most successful plays out of it. I don't buy that we're holding back anything. What we do best out of it everyone has already seen anyway, and if we really were holding it back for a rainy day I think that rainy day was last Sunday. Long story short, don't be surprised to not see the Wildcat Sunday.
, somewhat educated...WTF does that mean about a guess. Sounds like a bad science project. We all know we will only see the WC if it is cooler than 76 degrees, windy, at or near the 30 and the sun has to be at a 26 degree drop from its highest point...also it must rain the day before
So far this season the Wild Cat has been confused, hesitant, and has had no confidence. On a number of attempts, Ronnie has looked like Pat White. I look for that to change on Sunday.
and what a joke it is that we are not running Ronnie brown out of the formation....our running game without it, looks lost and slow...could be the dumbest idea of the year..Take your best player, and take away from him what he does best...genious!!!..Fuc$%in moron. Its all the proof I need to know that our offensive cordinator is flawed..
Here's what happened imo V.. They stopped using the jet sweep with ronnie and ricky.. They used the formation in some situations where they shouldn't of, and it didnt work. creating angst. They didn't use the formation in situation's where they absolutely should have.. They lost their schematic rhythm in inputing the formation to the gameplan. Fan overreation to some unsuccessful attempt's..Therefore creating unjust pressure on a simple running play. Tony and Henning folded under the pressure.. Anyone who doesn't see a different skillset when ronnie takes the direct snap over a normal handoff, doesn't know how to appreciate the intricacate talent's that ronnie has, and how those talents are exploited out of the formation.. How's ronnie looking as a traditional running back? with no wildcat? Every formation has its up's and down's...if you dont fight thru those, you never see the end result.. Our coaches cowarded out of the formation...moronic imo.
Well said and agreed. There was a mindset with players before. We're gonna run this, and have fun doing it. This year, it's more like we have to run this, and we really don't want to. The thrill is gone. Ronnie looks lost in running it. All it takes is for a few successful plays to bring it back to life, in spite of what some fans think. I look forward to that happening on Sunday.
But we wont get those successful plays unless we run the actual wildcat formation. None of this base formation with a direct snap to the RB. It's not the same thing.
I believe that, this Sunday, we will see the "Real WC" will be growling, and that our D will be HOWLING. That means WE WIN!!! GRRRRRRRRRRR & AHWOOOOOOO is all that needs to be said.
And the fact that we are not seeing Ricky fly across the formation is completely idiotic.. This is why the formation was successful in the first place, the hesitation by the defenders that was created when ricky was coming across the formation is what Ronnie took advantage of.. If you look at a highlight of the final drive against the jets last year, you will see ricky cross the formation full speed inside the 5 yard line, you will see the outside linebacker and corner completely freeze off of ricky, while ronnie barrelled in from the 3 for 6.. I am stunned and pissed off at our coaches for abandoning this formation..
is this guess just based upon the fact that we haven't seen it in 2 weeks an that we r facing a bad run D, or do u have some insider info.; Bc if you have insider info you should sign up for the club forum. Its only $24 and you get to hear what Chrowder really thinks about white people
South is there something that makes you think this? You dont need to reveal outside source. Just wondering if you know something we dont or are purely speculating.
I believe that I know many things that many don't. I also believe that many know many things that I don't. Who knows what may happen on Sunday?
How's Ronnie looking running the wildcat? Not that good. See, when we first ran the wildcat, noone knew how to stop it. And now everybody just plays man on the wideouts and sends the house. And just so you know, that's nine (9) in the box. Kind of hard to run with 9 in the box.
I certainly hope that we have seen the last of the Wildcat offense. It is averaging less then two yards a play. It was a good change of pace a few years ago. Now all the defenses in the league seem to know exactly how to stop it. Especially since they know that Brown is not going to pass. It is time to say adios to the Wildcat forever.
