Check out the Bengals DNP/Ltd Practice list: Add in Antwan Odom is out with an injury as well as suspended for 4 games and this Bengals Defense is as depleted as Green Bays'. Eh, "Praise the Strong, Eat the Weak"
Joseph starting Cb Hall starting Cb Williams starting Safety Rivers starting Lb A Smith starting RT Faenene Startng De
Hall and Joseph are really good. If both are out or limited we could finally see the downfield passing game utilized.
Maybe, but considering I have no idea who the backups or safeties are it's hard for me to determine whether that would work. Do they still have Gibril?
No, Gerbil has an ACL, another Dolphins flame out, Chris Crocker took his place, CC leads the NFL Db's with 2 Qb sacks.
Bengals were the best in the league at defending #1 WRs. Then Joseph was out, and Roddy White made them look like a college team. Jonathon Joseph is the one to watch here.
20-16. Two safeties. The Friday practice report is the important one, Wednesday is meh. Whether those play or not, I still cant see us doing much better than squeezing a win out at the end. We don't attack teams enough to put anyone away early .
Fanene is not a starter, never was and never will be, he sucks. He may have slid in the starting rotation last year due to inury once or twice but thats about it. Losing Andre Smith is like dropping a penny on the ground. Only person with Man Boobs to be ever picked that high in the draft. Kid is a HUGE waste of NFL space and time. Him and Ryan Leaf hold the awards for most useless people on the planet earth that managed to rob money from a professional sports team.
we should beat a completely healthy Bengals so it really doesnt matter how nicked up they are really :P
You sure? He is the player with hair out the back of his helmet isn't he? As for Smith, his merit is not our problem, the fact he was/is a starting RT is.
Positive, they bring Fanene in on 3rd down situations and to spell Geathers. Here is the box score from Sundays game. He has played in two games this year with one assisted tackle. Check out the second link. Cincinnati Bengals vs. Atlanta Falcons - Box Score - October 24, 2010 - ESPN http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/players/7409
I have hated the Jets since their inception but have to give them credit. Revis, when 100% and Cromartie, IMO, are the best combo in the league.
Fanene is sneaky good, but isn't a normal starter (Domata Peko is your guy with the hair). He filled in quite a bit in 2009 after Antwan Odom went out and started a few games then, but isn't a starter this year. Their D-line is Michael Johnson, Tank Johnson, Domata Peko, and Robert Geathers. As an aside if you're really talking about hair, then Domata Peko has pretty much everyone in the NFL beat. http://www.nysun.com/sports/giants-wont-take-the-0-2-bengals-lightly/86220/ But yes, Fanene had some hair last season.
Two of the best and youngest corners in the league. Keep their names in mind. There is a reason Adam Jones is the nickel corner. Joseph is a free agent this year, but I suspect he will get franchised.
Dennis Roland is more the starting RT than Andre Smith. Roland: 6 games/ 5 starts. Smith: 5 games/2 starts.
Andre Smith is one of the players that I've kept an eye on since Drafted, I read he had been inserted into the starting lineup after showing up to camp: -massively out of shape -failing to do any real rehab on his foot injury. http://www.rotoworld.com/content/playerpages/player_main.aspx?id=5099&sport=NFL Ding Ding, Cam Wake...
Too bad, it would've been nice to meet up. I lucked out, my roommate got a pair of tickets and was kind enough to invite me.
I watched the replay last night vs Falcons too. Falcons were passing at will, especially with Roddy White. Was making me salivate. On flip side Cedric Benson looked very good. but IMO our run defense can handle him.
Its really a downhill running attack they use. Wouldn't surprise me to see Nolan use more inside alignments along the DL.
Hmm, could be Lewis gave Palmer the day off, or the Bengals were mauled in Atlanta, put Palmer back out there with Wake on Andre Smith and he may need a walker to make it out of the stadium.
