Brady, in his two games against two great defenses (Ravens, Jests ) has 3 TD's,4 INT's, 540 total yds, and a QBR of 70. Henne, in his two games against two great defenses (Steelers, Jests) has 3 TD's, 1 INT, 620 yds, and a 92 QBR.
Doesn't shock me we have better receivers and a better line. Brady is not the same as he was in the past. His accuracy has fallen off. That is another reason why I would not take Brady over Henne in this part of their careers. Brady is the past and on the downhill Henne is the future and only getting better.
I can't believe that this thread has been here over a day and only two replies. Oh I know why, it's positive....
The Jets are far from a great defense (and I am a Jets fan), especially against the pass: Facco: 20/38 248 0/1 Brady: 20/36 248 2/2 Henne: 26/44 363 2/1 Favre: 14/34 264 3/1 They are ranked 22nd against the pass. Miami is 17th.
That is suprising considering the talent in your secondary. Is your guys pass rush non-existent or something?
Feast or famine. They have given up some big plays this year, especially when the blitz is picked up. Teams seem to move the ball between the 20's very well on them. They do seem to tighten up in the red zone and are ranked 4th in the NFL with 16.8 ppg allowed.
Logan Mankins the pro bowl guard is not playing Take Jake Long our pro bowler out of the lineup and see where we stand
I'm not into making excuses. Plus Revis can't cover every receiver on the field, regardless of his health.
i like henne and think he will be good, but the difference is we r 0-2 in those games and the pats r 1-1. stats dont really mean so much, its the wins. drew brees threw for 356 yds sunday and was awful in a loss. tony romo had a few 300 plus yd games this season until his injury, and the cowboys r 1-5.
Henne is a very good QB, he is NOT the reason why we dont have a better record. Our inability to create turnovers consistently and the inability to score TDs in the red zone is the reason why we are 3-3 and not 5-1 right now.
There's not much talent as some think in the secondary IMO. Outside of Revis, who is top notch IMO, I think they can be beaten. You just have to pick the ways you attack them. I.e. Cromartie horizontally instead of vertically, same goes for Kyle Wilson, attack Eric Smith when he's the single high, etc.
Stats mean nearly everything if you don't cherrypick them. For example, you left out that Brees also threw 4 INT's.
It's all about scoring points, Todd. He can rack up all the passing yards he wants, but if he can't put the ball in the endzone, he's going to have problems.
It's not just the QB's respsonsibilty to get the ball into the endzone. Henne has 8 times the TD's than anyone running the ball.
