He is not only from Pennsylvania but is a Pittsburgh native? Wow. The NFL should look into this but I know they won't.

I never said that wasn't a blown call. What I'm saying is why not worry about we can control which is our mistakes and if we did that, grown men wouldn't be *****ing all night long about how the "refs beat us".....

And so did the Steelers without the turnovers, the fact is the game came down to that one call, and it was wrong.

So it would be better to ***** all night long about bad coaching? I mean seriously what's the difference? I think the Dolphins put out a great effort against a top team and I'm furious that the refs screwed them over. We can't control anything going on with the team.

The two refs in the secondary awarded the Dolphins the ball. They never saw the TD call.

    Complete fiasco.

And, relatively speaking, this is small potatoes compared to the Super Bowl victory the Steelers got handed by the Refs, and nothing was done then either, even though the Referee in that game has since admitted he and his crew totally flubbed that one.

i'm not saying this to whine or anything, honest, but other than the jests and the buffalo bills in the 1990's (minus the super bowls, of course lol), have you ever seen a luckier team than the pittsburgh steelers?

My favorite Steratore fact is that he and his brother (who also plagues the NFL as an official, apparently) co-own a sanitation supply business. I knew I was smelling urinal cakes...

    Steratore Should Be Fired

I'm not one to immediately believe in conspiracies, but I have to say enough evidence is mounting for me to believe this game was fixed.

For some reason, the NFL has a desire for the Steelers to win this year. Whether that's because they want them to win the Super Bowl, or even appear in the Super Bowl is yet to be seen, but from everything I'm seeing, it's clear as day this game was fixed.

I mean, come on, you have the most controversial referee in the NFL (because of his blown call in the Chad Johnson debacle) running immediately onto the field announcing it was a touchdown while the players are still scrambling for the ball?

Oh, and wait, he's from Pittsburgh, lives thirty miles away from Pittsburgh now in Washington, PA, and is a known Steelers fan? Oh, and wait, one of the linesman is someone who's from Pennsylvania as well?

Right, no conspiracy here. If that's the case, I wanna see an referee from Miami reffing every game the Dolphins play in the rest of the year. I'm POSITIVE they won't give the game to Miami, right Mr. Goodell?...lmao

Too bad he is not old enough to have rooted for them when they were named the Steagles.

That's right! There was a time when the Eagles, and Steelers merged into one team.

Steratore now officially has more wins than the Bills, Panthers, and Lions

How can this guy legitimately walk into an NFL office on Monday and still have a job? I can halfway see the week 1 call against Detroit because we were talking about technicalities in what is actually a catch, but today his decision making 100% altered the course of the game without justification.

The part that gets me so angry is not the TD call or even the review...it's how Steratore handled the situation. When a team scores a TD, how often do we see a ref immediately run in front of the cameras and say, "The ruling on the field is a touchdown."

The only possible reason for saying that is because he saw the other refs signal Miami ball...so without even giving it a second thought or seeing why other refs were saying Miami ball he blows them off. Normally it wouldn't be a huge deal in a case like this because there's a review, but since all the cameras focused on his stupid *** instead of the ball a call was impossible to make.

Sure I think Miami recovered and there was enough evidence in what was shown, but since it was not 100% Miami ball I can see the final call. The point is, it's the head ref's job to defer to the other officials....especially the one three feet from the incident....before making a call either way. If he would have done that, the cameras would have stayed on the action while the refs had a pow-wow and the ruling wouldn't have mattered because there would be actual video to review. In a best case scenario, multiple refs would have called it a fumble/Miami recovery and review would of had to prove that didn't happen.....which we will never know 100%. Worst case scenario, they still said TD and they had 10 angles to see the final result of who had the ball.

Steratore should be fired over this....I simply can not see an excuse that would justify the NFL covering this up. I am so sickened by that call and the audacity of that idiot that I really don't even want to watch another NFL game this year...to me this is much more than a single loss for the Miami Dolphins. If the NFL continues to let refs completely ignore league rules while they're telling players what league rules are, there's no point in even having a kickoff.

The Lions-Bears game was NOT his fault. He made the right call based on what the rule is. It was BS because of the rule, not the call.

He cheated the Lions out of a win. Nothing more needs to be said really. This assclown obviously has no ****ing clue how to do his job and should be fired immediately so he doesn't have the opportunity to screw another team out of a hard fought win.

They should just start calling it the NCSFL. No Common Sense Football League. Refs need to start using just the slightest bit of common ****ing sense.

My dads text immediately after the game..."I have always thought that the games are rigged".

And to be honest, he has told me that for years. But more and more I am leaning that way. With the hole nba fiasco, and other things, and now this! Honestly, if there is a fumble, ever...you always see who comes up with it. Always. The refs basically said it didn't matter. Ha. Such an f'n joke. Of course you wont see who "exactly" recovers the ball when there is a huge pile up...which is why you wait, pull people up, and see who did. Or in this case, who hands you the F'n ball. I think this is a joke. Couldn't be more pissed at the NFL. I didn't even watch any games after this point.

No. You let the play finish. It was obvious to everyone that he fumbled very close to the goalline. You run in, pull people off of the pile and see who has the ball. Then you go to the replay to make sure it was a fumble. You make sure you know who has possession of the football first. Of course replay wont show the exact recovery of the ball, there was a pile up. But we handed the ball to the ref....that should have ended the discussion.

I'm not a professional ref, and I know this.

It's common sense. If it's even close you let the play run it's course. If you watch football you've seen refs do this plenty of times. Sometimes it's almost definitely not a fumble and they still let it play out just in case. I don't see what's so hard to understand here. He made the calls on the field that ensured the Steelers could not lose possession. He should be suspended at a minimum.

Firstly, I feel bad about my previous C4 comment. It'd be too much of a blast for me to not include you in it....... and you two don't even have to hit the league office; a walk around the block together will be just fine. (I'm picturing you both skipping while holding hands, but however you prefer is ok) :sidelol:

Secondly, it was "far from obvious" to YOU maybe, but Ben and multiple Phins clearly knew the ball was out. If the guy who f***ing fumbled it is trying to get the ball, then that's a clear indication to wait and see WTF happens to determine possession.
And...... uhhhhh..... hello!..... McFly!...... There are multiple refs on the field. The live angle that YOU saw on TV wasn't the ONLY angle available to the eyes watching. Hence there were 2 refs in the middle of the skirmish before the douchebag hastily ruled it a TD. Duh.

Thirdly, if YOU couldn't see the ball fumbled when the play happened, you ALSO couldn't definitively see the ball cross the goal line either....... and if YOU couldn't, then neither could the ref signaling the TD who had the same angle...... so it wasn't HIS call to make in the first place. The douchebag clearly did NOT see that it was a TD because it was NOT a TD. Therefore, you don't call what you can't see. Duh again.

I'll restate this for you: How can it be the right call if the refs clearly said it was a F***ING fumble and reversed the call on the field, you troll?!! The ONLY way it would've been the right call (and Steratore absolved) is "if" Ben never fumbled the ball in the first place. Get the f***ing call right to begin with so the rest of it can play out accordingly and appropriately. Let me restate it yet another way: If the call was reversed, then Douche'atore obviously did NOT initially make the right call. The RIGHT CALL would've been "fumble" (b/c it WAS a fumble), and then you wait to see who ends up with the ball (just as they ALWAYS do). I don't think it was a Steeler who handed the ball to the ref. Duhhhh FTW.

I seriously don't know what's worse---- your football awareness & common sense..... or your team's record. I feel like I'm growing dumber by the second listening to you.

Yah it was so obvious that only Gene called it a TD after overruling the ref who tried to stop him while the 2 refs in the secondary called it Phins ball. Whatever.
