We can only loose 2-3 more times to have a chance at the playoffs, maybe 4 but I doubt it as the league is very close and we have lost 3 to the afc already.

    We have to play:

    Cincinnati
    Baltimore
    Tennessee
    Chicago
    Oakland
    Cleavland
    Jets
    Buffalo
    Detroit
    Pats

Which means we have to be at least (imo) 7-3 in the next ten games. Doable, certainly. Likely, I will let you guys be the judge.

if we play the rest of those teams like we played the steelers today, we'll go 10-0. Steelers are a better team than all of them.

But im not over this one yet. ******* garbage.

Us lossing AFC games hurts our Conf. record along with lossing 2 games to the pats and jets, so we have no choice but to start winning those conf. games because they are HUGE TIE BREAKERS!

2-1 in the next three games and they are there. I also think they can totally kick the **** out of someone on the road in the playoffs. Have to win in Cinncy this week. Still I'm not sure who drops off from the WC group to get Miami in. Either the Jets or the Ravens have to go into a tailspin. Winning in Baltimore would be huge.

How about we win a game at home before we even mention the word "playoffs"?

    season is over.

0-2 in division, and 0-3 at home. all against AFC teams.

The season ended with that blown call.

Of the remaining games, I definitely can see 7 wins there. Hell, like adamprez said, if we play out the rest of our games like we played today; I can see 8-10 wins.

If the Dolphins can get angry enough to play like today, but turn those FGs into TDs, then they can do a lot of damage. They should be pissed. After today I expect to win at LEAST 8 of those ****ing games. I'm pissed and I want the Dolphins to destroy everyone! [they won't, if they win it'll be a last second goal line stand or FG]

Close to it, a lot can happen over a season, but losing to AFC teams and beating NFC teams is not the path to the WildCard.

I will predict that 9-7 won't make the playoffs this season and unless we beat the Jets, Patriots, and the Bills, 10-6 won't either.

    here is the ONLY path.

    We MUST sweep our division.

We MUST beat BOTH the Bengals and Ravens.

ALL of those games must be wins. That is 6 more to get us to 9. We then need one more to ICE a playoff berth.

We can do it for sure. We just need to get in a winning streak and noone will be able to stop us.

That's pretty much it right there. The other win could be against Cleveland or Detroit. If win all of those games then we'd probably beat cleveland and detroit and get to 11 wins. This all seems like a long shot at this point. A lot of talent in Miami but questionable coaching at times and terrible officiating is killing us.

Well we all know the Seahawks and Chiefs will win the West with an 8-8 Record. Too bad 9-7 might not get it done for a wild card.

We've proven we can beat the best team in the NFL. Find the end zone more and even blown calls won't beat us though.

Tennessee and Baltimore are MUST wins...we have to beat both of them out and need wins to secure tie breakers...we cannot afford more than three losses.

Yep, add in Cinci as well, we have to put some of those tie breakers in our back pocket or this will be 2003 all over again.

not over til it is over... Look at the Padres this year... big lead coming down the stretch and they reel off 10 loses in a row to let the NL champs SF Giants back into the race.

I know mistakes were made but I don't think I would want to be the Bengals next weekend. I think we're going to punch them in the face. As pissed as we are about this one getting away [and the refs], think of how pissed the players must be.

The rest of the league does not lead the league in Defense. Apparently scoring the most this season against Pittsburgh isn't anything to talk about when a game is decided by 1 point and a questionable call.

Oh no....Thanks! I'm going to be having nightmares now of 2002 going from #1 seed week 15 to missing the playoffs 2 weeks later. 2003 the loss to the worst team in the NFL Texans which screwed us over later in the year. And add 2009 to the list of players dropping like flies then choking in Buffalo.

Who needs horror movies when we have the Miami Dolphins of the 00's?

oh come on guys im as big a dolphin fan as any but at 3 and 3 and where we are at in the division and conferance our playoff hopes are very minimal. 3 games out of 1st in our division and 5th in the wildcard and no tiebreakers with the teams in front of us = ****ed

I think we need to go atleast 8-2 to get a wildcard oh yeah we are like 30th in scoring

Here's a novel idea: how about we take it one game at a time and stop projecting the future?

Miami was 2-4 in 2008 and ended up 11-5. They were also 2-4 in 2009 and ended up 7-9.

This year they are 3-3 (and improvement over the past two years) but it's senseless to try and predict what's going to happen 2-10 weeks in the future.

All that matters right now is the Bengals game.

i hope we make the playoffs but im so fckn pissed right now just thinking about the Jets winning last week against Denver because of a PI and the Pats who kept winning these close games (ravens, chargers). On the other hand, the Dolphins get screwed over by the refs.. just great

this loss is making me depressed.

There are only three 5-1 teams in the NFL right now and our three losses are to those three teams.

We don't have to have a must win just yet. We are a good team and there are still 10 more games for every team which means there is a lot of possibilities at the moment. In fact way too many to even start counting us out.

What gives with you naysayers anyways. Is the glass half empty all the time unless it is totally full? Any given Sunday is the truth. Just look at the Bills/Ravens Game. They almost pulled that out.

Still a hell of a lot of football left to play.

Very true, and the Dolphins should be 4-2, very easily could be 5-1. Nothing is technically must-win, because for all we know they could lose next week then win every game after. But losing to the Bengals would damage the psyche of the fanbase and cause a riot lol. They need to bounce back in a big way and show they really do belong. Good teams come back from screwed up losses and go on winning streaks.

dolphins played great today! offense def needs to convert at least one of those field goals for touchdowns but they did put up most points steelers allowed this season and defense did exceptionally well. i hate to blame games on calls but this was a god fight going to the last min so that call was huge.

as for the rest of the season i think we need to just show up every week. defense is starting to play really good and our offense needs to make a couple more TD's instead of settling for field goals. even if we make playoffs field goals wont win you games in the playoffs.
