Nobody is giving us any chance to win this game against the steelers. What does everybody think do we have a legit chance?I think its going to come down to how well henne plays.
3 of the 5 guys from CBS Sportsline picked us. Haven't seen any other predictions. I would assume most would pick against us.
I don’t think picks are out until Friday. But I seem to be making a pick thread every week, so just look for that.
The consensus will have Pittsburgh winning. You know, because teams that have won recently will always win and never lose again. That's why picking a team to win makes sooo much sense.
We are NOT outclassed here and when that's the case, AND the so-called "experts" pick against us, we usually come out ahead. It's when they PICK US, that I get worried.
Have you watched the last two times we played them? I don't know if we match up well. But we can beat them.
I did Bro! That's all you need to know. Pittsburgh better bring their puke bucket,Sunday. It's going to be a long *** day for them.
The last time we played them it did not look good for most of the game but our backup Qb made it interesting at the end. Until he was intercepted in the endzone. The time before that, the score ended up 3-0 So they can be had imo but they have a freakishly physical defense.
come on man, we are a lot different of a team than those 2 times. the last 2 times we played them. 07- irrelevant, we stunk up the joint that year, a high school team could have beaten us towards the end of the year when we had at a point Cameron worrell starting at safety and john beck at starting QB. 09- last year finale, henne left the game in the first half with an eye injury, we didnt have a big time wr, we had gibril wilson who is gone so that is addition by subtraction, and we our linebacking core is alot better now with dansby and misi along crowder, and yet we still only ended up losing by 3 believe, or maybe it was 7, either way though it was close. we now have the beast, which elevates our offense dramatically, we have cam wake, who although we had last year, he is a whole different player this year, we have dansby now, as opposed to last year we had no playmaking linebackers, no gibril wilson which is a plus, and vonate davis is a lot more improved. we will win.
I see Bess laying the wood on Harrison over the middle and for good measure he drops a tea bag right on his forehead.
Vegas has the Steelers as 3 point favorites. But the Steelers line is always skewed because of all the bandwagon Steelers fans out there who bet on their "home" team. Like all Dolphin games, it will be settled by a few points and we will be able to point to one or two plays that won/lost the game.
In AFC playbook Baldinger picks us....but Billick and Sharpe pick PIT (EA Sports Madden Sim they showed had Pit 21 - Mia 10)
Yeah, and that would mean we lose 5 straight home games going back to last year. I know its NOT IMPOSSIBLE...just seems like it should be. 3-0 on road, and 0-3 at home? Its like saying a coin cant come up heads 50 times in a row...I know it can...but sure doesnt seem like you would believe it. really hope we figure out a way to prevent 0-3 at home to start this year.
and Baldinger made great points referring to the old aging tackles that Pittsburgh have against our young active defense. This game is very winnable if our offense can close drives. It will be interesting to see what our O can do against the Steelers D.
Exactly, TD's not FG's. I hate seeing them go up 6-0 knowing that 1 play or drive and they're behind. The other key is turnovers. They have to force Ben to force some balls or fumble on sacks / pressure. He has no issue hanging in the pocket but is tough to bring down. If JA can keep his feet and the front does its part he is good for at least 1 pick.
I wouldn't put money on this one that's for sure. If it was in Pittsburgh I probably would if I was a betting man to be perfectly honest.
Agreed, but my post was to prove that our offense hasn't been bad. We've actually moved the ball quite well. However you're correct in saying that we need to finish drives.
