the AC only controls who wins. You might need to buy a toaster oven if you want over/unders

I actually hit gold by taking the over on every game I bet last weekend. College football was very good to me.

This game has been painful to watch and it has nothing to do with the score. Well over 4 hours long and outside of 2 half innings have been uneventful and boring.

I'll even argue that Game 1 was boring minus the top of the 8th. Really minus a few innings here and there every game has been boring. The best game was probably last night's.

EDIT: Watching Cliff Lee/Pettitte pitch in Game 3 was pretty good. So I'll say Game 3 and 4 were entertaining.

I'm thinking about getting on my high horse to start to rant about teams passing out gimmicks (towels, thunder sticks, cowbells) for the fans to give them something to use during the game. Whatever happened to the old school 'hey I'm at a playoff game let me yell and scream my butt off' fans. Thankfully there are some teams (Yanks, Sox) that don't have to resort to that kind of crap.

You know what was worse than watching it? Listening to it on the ****ing radio. I got the first hour on my ride home from work. I then went to the gym in my apartment complex and brought a radio. 40 minutes of cardio and I listened to one inning! Then I lifted for an hour. I think that got me through 2 innings. It was painful to listen to. Even the windbag Yankees announcer (John Sterling) was running out of **** to talk about. Every at bat took forever. Sabathia went deep in every count. I was ready to scream.

The Rangers would be doing us a favor by knocking us off, because there is no way this team is winning the WS, no matter who they play.

Ok you win. Having to listen to Sterling and Waldman for all that time should win you a medal or something.

pettite lee was a great start but a horrible ending. the 8th of the 1st game was probably the most exciting. Last night was just weird. entertaining in a comedic sense. gm 2 boring.

Not only that but it's the freakin' playoffs. If you can't get pumped up and excited being at the game then don't go to the game. The gimmick stuff is just so 2nd rate.

I hate Sterling with a passion. If my choices are listening to him, or "watching" it on MLB's game day (or ESPN's version), I'd rather do that. He just irritates the **** out of me. Waldman I can stomach for the little bit she is allowed to speak.

got to love how the trolls are gone after a yankee win....especially here in RI....the same people who were clowning me all day yesterday at this time, are "conveniantly" not around....

I dont bust balls, I am humble....even after watching all these championships, and I say the samething every time my team loses in any sport...."They have to play better, and the other team deserved to win"....

Not talking about you Fink you are always around.....mostly people around my way, but yeah now that you mentioned it, I do find it odd nobody on here has posted either, however sure as sheet if the Yankees had lost last night this place would have been littered with "well-wishers" minutes after the last out was recorded......

In fairness to us Yankee haters, what do you want us to say? Congratulations on the win last night? No thanks.

I just want to offer up my condolences once this thread is retired for the year.

Also, I'm still nervous about the series in general. As Kevin Millar once said, "don't let us win tonight (tomorrow in this instance), because anything can happen in Game 7." And with Ron Washington in the opposing clubhouse, truer words have never been spoken.

No but like myself (and you guys), I will go on the Sox thread all year win or lose and talk baseball....I'm not in it to hate or bust balls, you lose creditability to me if you troll for the sole reason of ball busting.....and offer nothing but, Yankees suck, they spend the most, and the Twins/Rangers/Giants/Phillies are better and will beat you guys.....great, awesome, go away.....

As with the Sox thread, it will go on vaca for a couple of weeks, but hot stove starts up what 2 weeks after the WS.......never retired....there will just be a new one...

I haven't seen much (if any) of that in this thread.

I think everyone here would readily admit that the Yankees have a hell of a team this year (like they do almost every year), even with Teixeira going down for the remainder of the playoffs.

And like I said in my prior post, I'm still not at all comfortable with a 3-2 Texas lead in this series. The Yankees are still very much alive.

Oh I can't wait to post in this thread: "Ball game over, (season/ALDS/ALCS/WS) over, Yankees lose, THHHHHHHHHHHHHE Yankees lose!"

Seriously, I agree I can talk baseball 24/7 if I could. I don't care what team/players we're talking about. I'm sure I could start up a good debate about anything from Nate McClouth's gold glove to Jeff Francoeur taking a pitch to Hideki Matsui's adult tape collection.

Running nice and steady at 73 degrees. Unsure if I’m going to put money on the Yankees, though. This has the smell of a trap, where the Yankees go in confident and the Rangers remember “Hey, we’ve been kicking their *** this entire series!”

The Rangers have an edge in starting pitching, and so far pretty much every playoff game has hinged on having the better starting pitcher.

Well, if the Rangers are going to win this series they had better do so tonight or they will be wondering "whaaaatt happened??"

I've seen countless game 7's and the "unstoppable ace pitcher" frequently is lit up in the 7th game, rarely do they come out and just mow the other team down.

It doesnt matter about the bet D....as long as your AC is on....

and the Rangers are treating it like they have to win tonight as well.....

C.J. Wilson and Tommy Hunter will be available out of the bullpen for Game 6.

It's all hands on deck for the Rangers as they look to close out the Yankees Friday. They've love to finish the series in Game 6 and have Cliff Lee available for Game 1 of the World Series.

    Dang.

David Murphy gets called out on strikes on 7 straight balls, then Granderson gets a ball called on a pitch RIGHT DOWN THE PIPE.

    Absolute BS!!!
