Marty Is A Good Head Coach But He's A Nother Dennis Green.when It Come's To Playoff's They Dont Stand The Chance, I Rather Take Bill Chowder Mean Nasty Player's Coach.
Offensive guards...i dont know what that other guy is talkin about...he is talking head coach while the thread is about offensive guards in FA.
ya i saw that list before, but i was wanting to know who you guys would like to see that is reasonable for us to get, unlike alan faneca
I'm hoping Mormino will take over at a guard spot next year. Re-sign Hadnot and replace Shelton with Max Starks or a rookie we draft with a high pick.
two words: Drew Mormino the guy was a starter until he got hurt, and hes a rookie. Cory Lekkerkerker is a 2nd year guy and is OKAY. Rex Hadnot is good too, but not pro bowl good. LJ Shelton, Vernon Carey, Chris Liwenski, and Samson Satele can also play Guard. but Satele is a lock at C. basically, our offensive line is set EXCEPT for RT. id like to draft an RT, like maybe Otah, and i wouldnt be upset if we used our first pick on Jake Long. an 0-13 team could use ANY top college star. as much as i hate to say it, even Darren McFadden.....for an 0-13 team, would help. there is absolutely NOBODY that anyone could say would be a bad pick...not for an 0-13 team. now if we decide to pursue and sign Max Starks, there really isnt a reason to draft OL then. but i personally think our OL will be more or less next year: LT: Vernon Carey LG: Drew Mormino C: Samson Satele RG: Rex Hadnot RT: Rookie or FA....Starks? Otah? Long?
If the line is set at every position except Right Tackle, why do you have a brand-new Left Guard in your projected lineup? Also, Hadnot will be a free agent after this season. Some team will over him about $25 million with, say, $10 million guaranteed: the free agent market for linemen is THAT overpriced right now. Given our overwhelming needs, it's safe to say that Hadnot will be back only if he wishes to take less money and play for a rebuilding team. In all likelihood, Drew Mormino will take over for Hadnot. Left Guard will probably be an open competition between Lekkerkerker and Liwienski. Liwienski looked surprisingly good up until the Jets game, but Lekkerkerker has also surprised as well. They're both pretty cheap, so unlike RG, the position won't partially be determined by money.
My cousin is a Cowboy fan and he said they may let him go because he will cost too much money and makes too many mistakes like false start penalties and they plan to put Pat McQuistian into the o-line starting line-up.
Lewienski is a FA this year aswell. Just for FYI. So really we have Lekekerker, and Mormino to compete for the job. It will be interesting to see how Lek plays the rest of the season. If he shows up it could dictate what we decide to do for the line overall. But if you want o-lineman, a guy I wouldn't mind would Sean Locklear he can play G, and T for you and is pretty decent. Travelle Wharton has started on the left side for carolina for a few years but no one mentions him as a decent player. He can play either T position for us. Both of those guys are starters for their respective teams and would be cheaper as boht are under the radar types - why they'd come here is a mystery. But, i had to give something right?
