In a game filled with mental mistakes and execution errors, the Miami Dolphins were able to find a way to win yet another tough road test, beating the Green Bay Packers 23 to 20 in overtime. Miami's third straight road win puts their record at 3-2 and allows them to keep pace within the division. Perhaps more importantly, two of Miami's most important players took a step in the right direction on Sunday.

Thanks for the article Hugo. Always enjoy reading your stuff. Agree on all fronts on this one. Henne made some mistakes, mistakes which you would expect with an inexperienced young QB, but bounced back, kept his head up and made plays that counted. I wish we would have run a bit more, especially on that first drive in OT. The progress in Henne though from last year is there to see. Should only get better with more playing time as the game slows down more for him.

Wake though, took over the game on D as you stated. Huge game for him. Now as you stated, we just need someone else to step up, sure enough Wake will be getting double teamed soon, and we're going to need help elsewhere. Hopefully the return of Odrick helps and allows us to get some additional pressure from both him and Misi.

Jason Allen as well, continues to impress me. He's made his fair share of mistakes, especially in the Jets game. However, he's been pretty darn good out there for us. Can't complain about that really. Apparently he is finally coming along. Its still early, but its all pretty positive for him right now.

Point out the mental errors. Hugo love ya but you used the wrong story to make your point! it was a pretty clean game

and if ya wanna get on the partially blocked punt, the coverage wasnt right but the player saved it by holding IMO

Misi has been a consistent enough threat to ensure wake isn't always double teamed. I think he is progressing nicely.

Wake is the gamechanger we have on D. Refs are even starting to call the holding penalties for some 3rd and longs that he wasn't getting earlier in his nfl career. But then again if you don't hold him in some pass rush situation he's going to get to the qb. He's creating his own opportunities by the effort he puts in when he needs to get to the qb.

Crowder also looked good. He made some important tackles yesteday and brough the energy back to our D that was gone for 2 weeks.

Misi has 3 sacks and 9 pressures in 99 snaps, which according to Ck puts him in good company among passrushers.

Hopefully, he breaks Lorenzo Brommel's rookie sack record of 7.

For all of Wake's explosiveness around the edge, Misi's bullrush/relentless/won't stay blocked style is a good match, Wake flushes them, Misi mops them up.

Anyone got a count on how many holding penalties Wake has gotten? That should definitely be a stat to include while following his season.

Agree on all points and thanks for the compliments!

@siciliansith - not really sure what you're trying to say. Sorry.

@Aqua Crush and Padre - I like Misi and he's obviously a very young player, but for me, it's not just about sack tally. It's about consistent pressure that can rattle a quarterback and force incompletions and INTs. We're not seeing that from our front (other than Wake) in my opinion.

Well, Starks is applying pressure this year, he has several Qb hits and two sacks, his problem seems to be consistency, a part of that is Nolan's scheme being different from DC Pasqualoni's.
