DR is an idiot. Typical homer. I think most people here igonore him. I've already commented on his previous posts, but you are right - I should have responded to him first. I'll get to that next

And while I agree with you overall point (that no one should be talking about a Jets Super Bowl), I disagreed with how you made the point.

And since you know me and my brothers, you are absolutely correct :tongue2:

Worried? I wouldn't say they are worried. The Jets are one of their main competitors, so it makes sense that they discuss them. I follow the Dolphins for the same reason. I think they are our biggest competition for the division. If Buffalo were, I'd be on one of their boards (which I am sure you are, flaming away like a dbag).

If you can't see that Miami is capable of beating any team we both have to play, then you are just showing us the true homer fan that you are.

Bro, if you click on "multi-quote" and it becomes highlighted in light color, then you can just go to the next post and click quote on it. It'll catch both.

No thanks  I am a lifelong NY'er. I root for my teams: Yanks, Jets, Ranger, and basketball sucks.

Here is a little secret for you though. I remember when I was in grammar school, I had a Miami Dolphins book bag. I remember liking the logo and they had won the Super Bowl recently. But I don't remember watching a single game or rooting for them. By the 5th grade I became a Cowboys fan. I loved Roger Staubach and Tony Dorsett. I was also a big fan of Tom Landry. Even as a kid, I thought the guy was all class. I watched the Cowboys every chance I could (2x vs the Giants and Monday nights). In high school, I dated a girl whose family were Jets fans. I remember rooting against the Jets just to be a prick. I didn't like them, but I didn't HATE them like I did the Giants.

In 1986, my freshman year of college, a fraternity brother asked me if I wanted to buy the rest of the season tickets from one of the guys that couldn't go anymore. They had 8 seats. I figured what the hell. I had never been to a pro football game before. The Jets were 5-1, including the famous O'Brien/Marino OT shootout at the Meadowlands. My first game was a Monday night game against Denver. The Jets won 22-10 to improve to 6-1 and I was hooked. This is when I learned all about heartbreak and the NY Jets. 10-1 turned into 10-6 and that crushing 23-20 playoff loss to Cleveland in OT. What had I gotten myself into! To complete my misery, the Giants went on to win the Super Bowl. :cry:Yet still, I ended up a season ticket holder in 1990.

I continued to follow the Cowboys until Jones bought the team and fired Landry. That was it for me. I despised the Cowboys for doing that and from then on I only rooted for them again when it hurt the Giants or helped the Jets.

So that is my sad story. I couldn't imagine rooting for any other football team. I've experienced championships with the Yankees and Rangers. I've never experienced anything but two AFC championship losses with the Jets. All I want is one Super Bowl and my sports life will be complete. And for the most part, I feel like it will never happen. But I still bleed green.

What's funny is that my older brother and twin brother were Giant fans. When Clark caught that pass from Montana in the back of the endzone, they both jumped up and down like they just won the lottery. I was devastated. They also broke my balls relentlessly when the Giants won in '86 and '91. It was brutal. But I slowly kept working on them.....took them to a few Jets games. When Parcells came to the Jets in 1997, that was my chance to rope them in - and I did. To this day, they curse me every time the Jets break their hearts! I kind of feel bad, but misery loves company

dude true story, at first I couldnt watch it, I didnt go to any parties, cuz 95% of my friends are Pats fans....I couldnt watch those scumbags, who ran up the score every chance they got, BB's arogance, spygate, Brady being all cocky in every interview (remember that one when he was like "all we are going to score is 23 points really?"), breaking my favorite teams record....and not to mention everybody around here was a bunch of ****oles....like hardcore a-holes....

I said to myself, just be a man and watch it, turned it on with my chick who could care less about football, and they had just showed the replay of Tyree, and I watch it from then out...

too my old man's credit, was born and raised in brooklyn, diehard Giants fan............he called it....confidently...wasnt scared of the Pats at all...pretty much expected the Giants to do what they did....wtf???!??!

I don't hate the Giants as much as I used to, but I still don't like them. There are far more Giants fans in NY than Jets fans and they can be obnoxious as any NY fan can be. In the beginning of the game I was rooting for NE, but by the end I was rooting for the Giants. But I will admit it was a tough SB to stomach. I was kind of hoping for the blimp to crash onto the field.

You generally don't jump from a winning franchise to a losing one like the Jets though. I give them a ton of credit for never switching back.

Marino.....back then (early mid-80's) the Pats sucked, played to a half filled stadium, and were never on TV, Miami always was, and my best friend and I always used to pretend we were Marino and Clayton.....

You know who used to break my stones unmercifully about the Giants and Jets? I'll give you a hint. He was our Director of Maintenance :) Man, he would give it to me, and there was nothing I could really say. But he did it in a good natured way. I miss him, bro.

This post is about as useful as a ESPN sideline reporter. 11 games left in the regular season, who knows what injuries will bring, or how will other teams form during the year. Good god at least wait until week 8 to bring out this nonsense.

the jets IMO are not even a top 4 team in the AFC, yet we are worried about the NFC teams which can compete with them?

    top 4 teams in AFC.

    1- Pitt
    2- Balt
    3- Indy
    4-New England

when are people going to see how over rated this jets team is? i really as a fin fan couldn't fear them less. their defense is far from intimidating as last year, and their qb is Sanchez. he throw 4-5 balls a game that r easy picks, u just gotta hold on to them and ull be fine.

    jets r frauds.

they will start collapsing in late November/ December
