So what are your thoughts, other than you reeeaaaally want Baltimore to win? I think that Baltimore has a very good team (and yes - even better than my beloved Jets). The additional of Boldin was huge. I am not a huge fan of Flacco, and his numbers are fairly pedestrian this year (5 td's, 6 int's, 57.1% completions, 1,116 yards, 72.1 rating). But in fairness, he had a miserable game against the Bengals (4 int's). He managed some decent numbers against an outstanding Pittsburgh defense (24/27/256/1/1). He should have a much easier time against NE. Now they didn't need to pass the ball much last year when they played in the playoffs. The ran the ball right down NE's throat. I expect they will try it again, while mixing in the pass once they have established the run. It could be a long day for NE's defense. NE will be Moss-less, and they are thin at RB. We all know how good their defense is....but Denver did move the ball through the air on them. and you can't dismiss Cleveland running for 173 on them. They are not invincible. So all this adds up to a Balt win, right? I wish I felt that way. This is the type of game that NE always finds a way to win. As much as I hate Bellicheck, he is an excellent coach and I think he will have his team fired up to prove that are more than Brady to Moss. I would not be shocked if they pulled out a 3 point win. I really hope they don't. Thoughts?
Kickoff in 1 hour! No. I just figured I'd make a thread in here and stay out of your secret handshake main Dolphin forum where one crooked word about an assistant coach's 3rd cousin will bring the wrath of 1000 posters
I dunno. I guess I'd like Ray Lewis and/or Terrell Suggs to (legally) paralyze Tom Brady and their kicker.
One of the key games this year, if NE wins they gain an edge on the Jets, if the Ravens win Miami catches NE with a win. And if NE loses they have one less path to a tie breaker with the Jets: And I do not care whose leg is swept in this one.
I hope Ray Lewis rips Brady's head off with his spine still attached while the words "Fatality" flash on the TV screen.
I'm only hoping that Baltimore and Denver win by 1. If that happens and we win, we're back in a tie at the top of the division. That would make for a good week 6 of us.
I like Baltimore’s chances. They match up very well with New England. I don’t think the Patriots have an answer for both Boldin and Rice, and will have to pick their poison.
Well, first things first the Dolphins have to win their game Sunday, then I'll care about this one, it sets up as a good situation for us, but still if we lose in GB I doubt anyone will really care if the Ravens win.
I look at this game purely from the standpoint of where I think it will put NE at the end of the year. I already have my Jets prediction in another thread where I have them going 10-6 (and that assumes we lose to both Miami and NE at home, which in my heart of hearts I don't think will happen). So I try to worry about week to week and whether the Jets are in first place or not. First place in any week but the end of the season doesn't mean much to me. I tried to get an idea of what I think NE will finish this year and I am having a hard time coming up with a projected record. This is what they have left: Balt @SD MIN @CLE @PIT IND @DET NY @CHI GB @BUF MIA They are 3-1. Here is what I think are automatic wins: CLE, DET, BUF Losses I feel confident in: PIT, IND That leaves me with 6-3 with Bal, Min, SD, NY, Chi, GB and MIA unpicked. If I have the Jets at 10-6, I want NE to go no better than 3-4 in those games. So if NE loses this weekend, and given my other assumptions, I would need them to play .500 ball in those games. But gun to my head, I can't say that I feel super confident that they will lose any of those games. I'm sure they will, but I couldn't pick which ones. Just let them finish 9-7
I'm guessing Billy boy will force Flacco to throw to beat him. I'm not a Flacco fan, ipof, I really don't see him as very good at all. Would much rather have Henne if I had to choose. I really can't see Billy losing this one, we'll see.
