I did not tell you what to say or think - I just referenced the negativity. I also have never resorted to name calling or insults. If you cannot see how negative you're being, there's nothing really left to say here, other than if the Dolphins make you so upset, why do you watch them? For your own health & sanity, sir, if you are truly this displeased with everything maybe you should take a couple of days off

I spent all day yesterday putting out these negative fires with actual stats and reasons backing up my discussion. Everything I said was discarded and I was called a "fanboy" or told to take my aqua colored glasses off.

My mother always taught me if you don't have something positive or constructive to say, don't say anything at all. While I stray from time to time from that, I try to stick to it. If you made a singular comment about being displeased with the team is one thing - fighting several-day long battles in multiple threads trying to convince people we suck as a team is certainly not following that ideal.

In the interest of not turning this thread worse, I'll leave this issue with you alone after this post.

 

When we pointed out yesterday there were still the games to be played up north, you did say we would lose those games. It may not have been a "guarantee", but we're splitting hairs over the verbiage here.

The point being is you do not think we'll win those games.

History has shown we have, and can.

Now THAT is a true fan. That is why people don't take to kindly to those dedicating signifacant amounts of time trying to prove how much the Dolphins "suck". We are passionate about the Phins and will stand by them no matter what. Talking **** about the team doesn't help a single thing.

 

NOTHING we say helps or hurts anything. If only some people here could understand that.

Very true...but why get yourself down in the dumps when it serves no purpose? Especially when most people here don't want to hear it?

Everyone has a right to an opinion, but they shouldn't get mad when someone doesn't approve of their negativity.

Getting mad at that is like saying "F*** you. Why can't you accept our negative ideas and be unhappy with us?"

 

First of all, I am not down in the dumps. I stopped letting the performance of the Dolphins affect my long term emotional status to that large an extent a few years ago. It was either that or go on anti-depressants, considering the performance of the team.

Second, it's not my duty to post what most people want to hear. No one put up a requirement that I could only post what most people wanted to hear when I joined this board. If they've added one, let me know.
I am not mad that someone doesn't agree with me, but what you condescendingly and self-righteously call my "negativity" I call pragmatic realism. If you disagree, well that's why they have horse races: differences of opinion.

And no, even if I were mad, which is nothing but your unfounded and baseless assertion, it wouldn't be like saying "F**** you." It would be like saying "you're being hyocritical for trying to force everyone here to conform to your point of view."
