    lol...

I really need to understand why coach said he was embarrassed for us, and that we didn't deserve it....does he think we can play better? and if so, how the fu$# can you not play your best at home on primetime?...something doesn't smell right.

It sounds like he is taking a lot of the responsibility on himself - saying they weren't prepared. Good for him, taking ownership of it. I don't think he's a bad guy, but I am really begininng to question if he is not in over his head. Maybe he misses Parcells more than we'll know.

What's not to understand DJ? He's saying we as the fans deserve better than that out of our favorite team. And, you know what...he's absolutely right. Say what you will about it's only year three and all that, but last night's game was about as bad as it gets. Put it this way, if I had to name the three biggest/worst defeats this team has ever played, this would be one of them. In fact, the only other game that was worse was the Jax debacle (Marino's last game).

Bottom line...they have two weeks to fix this thing. So, git 'er done.

So much GMan, I mean, if your going to say that you are embarrassed, then please be specific, are you embarrassed that you and your staff did not have the team mentally and schematically prepared, or, did the players on the team dissapoint your expectation's of them and play poorly? or, do we have a personell problem...Sparano went out of his way last week and said vehimently, the performance by his players was not effort related...they played hard...what all this mean's, IDK, iam trying to figure out sh^t as I go..lol

Looking back at the two losses, I see two completely different situations. The Jests game was a game we could've won. After spotting them 2 TD's, we came back to make a game of it, and ultimately had a shot late to tie the game. Didn't happen, tough loss, but the team never quit. The NE game, on the other hand, was a complete disaster. At least, the second half was. First half, we didn't necessarily play well offensively (moved the ball fairly well, had chances, but squandered them), but we held Brady & Company in check, and had the lead going in at halftime. The wheels fell off in the second half. And, it all started with the KO return for a TD. By the end of the game, the team had basically given up. It was about as bad of an a** whopping as I've ever seen. We got beaten in every phase for 30 LONG minutes.

With that in mind, my feeling, or interpretation of what Sparano said is that he is embarrassed (to ownership and the fan base) for the entire tam (players, coaches, etc). That he is taking ownership for the failings of the team on the field Monday night. And, that's as it should be. In other words, he could be pointing fingers or making excuses, but he's not. He's owning it. And, as such, I fully expect he will do everything in his power to fix it. Whatever "it" is. Hey look, I like Tony Sparano. I think he's a good coach. I think he's made some mistakes in game situations, clock management and so forth, but he's learning and getting better, as is the team as a whole. But, Monday was a huge set back. And, it just shows (to me anyway) that we're nowhere close to being a playoff or SB contender. Not as of Monday night anyway.

The bigger question is how will this young coach and this young team react when they play in GB on the 17th? Will they bounce back, and take it out on a very talented and very well coached GB team? And, on their home turf? Will they come away with a much needed win, and get back on track? Or, will this loss hang over them, and be an albatross for the rest of the season? Will we see this young team fall apart one loss at a time? Each loss compounding the one before it. I sure as hell hope not. And, frankly I expect more out of this team, and Sparano. But, who the hell knows? That's why they play the game, right? We'll just have to wait and see. But, one thing is for sure...I'm pulling for him/them. Go Phins!

    Sorry for the long diatribe.

-The Dolphins are so bad that African television stations are showing 'Sponsor A Miami Dolphin Special Teams Player' commercials!

-The Dolphins are so bad, Angelina Jolie adopted Bobby Carpenter.

-The Dolphins are so bad that I saw a truck full of legal immigrant Dolphin fans illegally crossing the border to Mexico.

-The Dolphins stunk so badly they made Right Guard turn left, Speed Stick slow down, Secret obvious, and Sure confused.

-You're trapped in a room with an angry grizzly bear, a hungry Lion, and a Miami Dolphins Special Teams player. You have a gun with two bullets. What should you do?

Shoot the special teams player................ twice.

Little Johnny was in court as his parents faced child abuse charges. The judge asked Johnny who he would like to live with. The judge asked "do you want to live with your grandparents?"
Little Johnny said "they beat me too". The judge asked "how about your Aunt and Uncle". Johnny replied "they have hit me too." Finally the judge asked "Well, who do you want to live with?"

Johnny replied "The Miami Dolphins, they aren't beating anybody"
