Didn't he have cancer as well? Keith Armstrong, his replacement, runs a fine ship in Atlanta as well.
I don't have a problem with them running the WC, but jesus H christ mother mary and joseph what in God's name was he thinking calling that on 3rd and 6? It's bad enough that he insists on running play action on 3rd and long (makes zero sense), now he's down to removing the threat of a pass altogether in an obvious passing down scenario. That might have been the dumbest call in the history of Dolphins football...topping the play calling sequence in New England with an 11 point lead and only needing to run the clock out to win. Now, if we had been gashing them for 5 and 10 yards a pop with the WC this year in general, then I can at least, wait....no I can't even see it then. Under no circumstances was that a good idea. We're cruising down the field....Henne's in a groove....Bess is untouchable....we need a first down on 3rd and long....and he announces to the world that we're going to run the ball....and we're going to do it with the formation that has been quite suspect YTD. Like someone said, it's a matter of feeling the flow of the game and Henning apparently has cranial neuropathy in the most critical of moments. Granted, I like how he calls the game otherwise....no thank you to another year of Wannyball or Scott Linehan (who suffered from a similar syndrome)....but you have to admit he's got a knack for sharting the bed at the wrong time.
For fear of death threats? lol I somehow doubt that excuse will save face after his last 2 ST performances.
Yes, last night the second drive was nice right? Well, that was something I thought he finally changed then after the first wildcat play things went flat and got worse everytime the ST's touched the field after that. That and a couple of silly interceptions. They came out flat as a pancake against the Jets and Bills and the second half adjustments? Where are they? I really liked Sparano but I'm begining to lose faith.
YES!!!! Bonamego FIRED!!!! Our collective prayers have been answered, boys! http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d5d81b16873/article/special-teams-coach-bonamego-fired-after-monday-meltdown
mods, feel free to delete this thread. I didn't see the first thread for this. My fault for not looking down the list.
I can't believe football matters to right now, when we just found out President Lincoln was shot!!!!!!!
the days of me picking up the return guy going against the dolphins every week in my fantasy league is over! i had Tate for the last game.
And you sir have keyed in on the #1 reason why I could never play Fantasy Football, as much as I'd like to
Oh boy....if this guy stinks he may even be harder to get rid of, he is not only a "blood brother" of Sparano, but a former coach under Sparano at New Haven. They have a past together.
Anyone else see the mug and for some reason think: ? Let's hope we are not disappoint with this move going forward.
Special teams coach Bonamego fired by 'Fins after meltdown http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000...ed-by-fins-after-meltdown?module=HP_headlines Sadly this isn't going to cut it because you still have the same players out there even with the coach gone.. Sparano felt the pressure to make a move, to bad he didn't tell o-coordinator to shelve the damn stallcat offense.
They ran it more than once. I recall at least three times though I might have been drunk by than.. I dont mind using the damn thing when we NEED a spark. We have an offense that in base formations can and does move the chains. Why we would STOP the momentum from a drive to simply 99.9% of the time run the ball is beyond me. I mean even if we did a few pass plays (swing out) or occasionally a deeper ball we might fool someone again.
he had to see if he could get it going. the damn thing was averaging over 5 yards a carry i believe last year. he couldnt get the blocking going though. its pretty much dead right now. i was drunk too but i'm pretty sure the 3rd and 6 was the only time it was called all game
LOL ok sorry guys delete this thread than sorry! I just got over the loss and poked my head up again on the new feeds etc.. Must have been the pats blue ribbon..
Hey, I commend you sir for waiting a day before coming here to vent your frustrations. Sometimes that is a good thing.
I will never understand how people don't see a major issue with running the wildcat on third and 6, especially on a drive where your QB is 6/6 and moving the ball well. How do you take your QB off the field in that situation? Dan Henning has done nothing but set this offense back whenever it finds a rhythm.
Especially when it has averaged a little over 1 yard a snap so far this season. A crucial 3rd down near the red zone. Might as well kneel the ball next time. We won't lose two yards.
