Padre...same thing every game..."hanging tight" is code in Miami for "failure to dominate"....seen this play out both ways...some we win ..some we lose...either way not learning to put a team away will always be a negative attribute

I agree....just dont think that Henning/Sparano will agree. I look for a lot of running in the 2nd half. Not that, running would really be a bad thing.

After the first 2 drives Henne doesn't look too good. Passes have been short hopping, bad INTs, and he is just staring down receivers.

    Yep.

I've never been a fan of receiving the ball to start a game at all.

    You defer.

If you're ahead at the half you get the chance to put a dagger in the opponent. If you're behind you get the chance to turn the tables first thing.

Hate the decision to Receive to start a game.

Sure he has. Fiedler has also played lights out at times too. If I recall, Chad has had a game or two of totally ****ting the bed.

Truth is, we don't know anything about Henne yet. So far this season, he's had 1 good game and two mediocre ones, and one bad half.

i hope we get very conservative in the 2nd half. feed ricky and ronnie the ball for the entire 3rd qtr. see how the game flows. if we need it then we go play action in the 4th. but right now we're passing way too much. Henning needs to forget the media and go with his gut which worked well in the first two games

Dude, that is not a bunch of smucks we are playing, they won the AFCE last season.

I'm more worried about BB taking a page out of the Dolphins playbook and the "D" being gassed in the 4th qtr, they were on the field a very long time in the first half.

The Pats deferred. But I do agree with your thinking. We usually defer the ball if we win the toss.

I seem to think he is purposely digging some of these into the ground because he notices people converging onto the receiver. Unfortunately, he has thrown two picks in this manner...Locking in on a receiver too much me thinks.

Not sure I can buy that argument because:
    a) he hasn't just completed check-down passes
    b) his first pick was not to a check-down route

The reality is that he's 11-15 for over 100 yards with a TD. He's made exactly two bad decisions, but unfortunately, they were horrific and cost us two turnovers.

But that can be corrected. If he eliminates those mistakes in the second half and the Dolphins create a turnover or two of their own Miami should win this game by two touchdowns.

    It did?

    We barely won those games.

If you're afraid to use your passing game then you just aren't a good team.

They should run a little more but to go "very conservative" with Tom Brady on the other sideline is a recipe for disaster.
We might as well just trade Brandon Marshall for picks now if you follow the mindset you're forwarding.

Just seem the Offense seems to be out oy rthym. Pass..run..pass...when they do get a good run they leave it and go back to the pass. The Pats opening drive will be VERY important

No doubt it's the Patriots but this team has a knack for not taking care of business when they opportunity presents, and allowing opportunities for the other team. It's been that way for quite a bit now.

Did you see the picks? One yes, was forced to Marshall, but well played by the Pats.

The other he forced on a rollout because he was about to get creamed by an unblocked defender. Goes against everything he was taught about ball control. Strange decision there for sure.

got nothing to do with locking one though IMO

wouldve been more if we needed it but we didnt need it thats why we drained the clock. drain the clock in this game too. our defense is playing well. if we need points we can open it up in the 4th
