The lack of turnovers, yeah, I don't see any improvement in his actual play turnover-wise, but through three games there is a statistical improvement, sure. As a Jet fan tell me your heart didn't drop when you saw him on Sunday night:

    1) throw a screen pass to Kendall Langford
    2) badly overthrow 80-something deep in their own territory, tipped to Jason Allen, who got his hands on it and couldn't make the catch
    3) throw to a well covered 80-something at the goal line and have the ball deflected through Chris Clemon's hands
    4) underthrow Edwards down the right sideline at the end of the half and have the ball go right through Jason Allen's hands
    5) throw an out pattern to Cam Wake who had beaten the cut block and jumped up to almost snatch the pass

I mean his talent for throwing the interception in a big game is still there to my eyes. The game against baltimore he was clearly handcuffed by Schotten-whatever to limit that. They had less repsect for NE and MIA defense and it almost bit them on several occasions in the MIA game.

But thank god for stats, these guys who write these stories would actually have to watch and analyze the games without them!

Franchise QB? Where? Not on your roster. Sanchez could become good and he had a good game the other night but Miami's pass rush was bad as was New Englands and the stats back that up. The one game he faced a lot of pressure, vs Baltimore, he was terrible.

I don't think we have a big enough body of work to really know what Sanchez is going to be just yet. Derek Anderson made the pro bowl in 2007. People were pretty high on him too. Doing really good work on a consistent basis is the key for a QB. The same will go for Henne.

this. I think what both teams have to be weary of is romo-itis. That is looking good some days and completely sucking it up the others. Having said that with the way henne has not turned over the ball this year I got to say that is very promising.

Not for nothing, but how many Super Bowls did he win in Miami?

DUDE STFU! The Buffalo Bills are terrible. Enjoy having the #1 pick in the draft.

    To the Miami Dolphins fan,

Who would you guys have RIGHT NOW. Mark Sanchez or Chad Henne? Who do you guys think has shown more promise?

not because of homerism. (u wont believe it) but ill take henne, cause sanchez has shown way more bad decision making, and imo his inabilities get masked behind a great oline, running game, and he has more leeway because of a great defense to lean on.

Plus he has more weapons....holmes, edwards, keller, cotchery...and still has looked even or less of a QB than henne

Regular season stats only, for relatively equal comparison:

Sanchez: 18 games played, 242 completions, 443 attempts, 2994 yards, 18 TDs, 20 INTs. Comes out to 54.62% completion, 6.31 YPA, and 70.4 passer rating.

Henne: 20 games played, 337 completions, 556 attempts, 3604 yards, 15 TDs, 15 INTs. Comes out to 60.61% completion, 6.11 YPA, and 77.3 passer rating.

I don’t see how Sanchez is clearly a more promising QB. Henne does more with the ball.

Same amount as O Brien won but teams win Super Bowls in this game not individuals. Marino wasnt responsible for some god awful defenses.

Listen dude, you cant let the cold up there affect your brain. Stay strong brother but come back to reality :wink2:

Desides posted all the stats son, your boy had two good playoff games but hasnt done much else. Hes got to improve his decision making, footwork and reading of defenses just like Henne has to improve his touch and his work vs shell coverages. I had Henne graded as the best QB in the 2008 drafted months before Miami picked him and I dont shy away from the fact I still believe that will be the case when all is said and done. Yes, better then Ryan and better than Flacco.

If we wouldve had Ginn we wouldve beat the Jets by 10.

Lets move on, a win tommorow and we are 3-1, 2-1 in the division, not one fan wouldnt have been happy with that in August.

We will see the green PUKE soon enough.

But I sure hope no Jet fan is hating on a QB that threw for 354 yards all over that 85 Bear defense, Sanchez looks solid the past 2 games but i wouldnt trade Henne for many QB's in this league.
