That's a technicality. Point of the original post is that Sanchez is "taking care of the ball", that's what they like about him the most. The reality is, he is getting damn lucky so far this year. It's always instructive to actually watch the games and not just look at the stats. The difference I see this year vs last year is the defense dropping the picks he's throwing. He makes some good plays. Just like last year. He makes some bonehead plays. Just like last year. The bonehead plays haven't caught up with him this year....yet. I don't think you can make a living on getting lucky for too long.

 

So it's luck, eh? No improvement or skill.

 

Ill say this for Nacho Libre':

He has not lost any games for the Jets, in fact he probably won the Miami game for them as the Defense has lost that 09 magic, it just is NOT as good as it was last season.

And that is the thing about Schemes, there are 31 other NFL teams loaded with Football PhD's, if you do not have the talent to win one on one matchups this league WILL figure a way to counter any scheme.

So on the whole the Jets should be quite happy to be 2-1 with two divisional wins with their strength not really playing as well as it could be.

 

Mark Sanchez is the Jet's version of Jay Fielder. He'll win some games for you, and lose some too, but ultimately won't get you to be Superbowl at least not by himself.
