So says Omar Kelly, reporting a comment JT made during an interview just minutes ago with 790’s Dan Le Batard and Stugotz:

For those not in the know, “douche or no douche” is an interview segment Le Batard does with guests. He throws out a name, concept, place, or stereotype and the interviewee responds “douche” or “no douche.”

LOL LeBatard has a way of getting information out of people. We should have him working Guantanamo.

Douche or no douche wouldn’t work in Gitmo.

    “George Bush?”
    “Douche.”
    “America?”
    “Douche.”
    “Osama bin Laden?”
    “No douche.”
    “Beards?”
    “No douche.”

Nothing we don’t already know about the long-term members of Club Gitmo. :shifty:

I am sure there is no love lost between JT and Parcells. Personally I love them both. In a purely hetero way.

#1 JT is now the enemy. He shouldn't be allowed on South Fl airwaves.

#2. LeBretard is a douche for even having JT on his show and pandering to him with the game on Sunday.

#3. Screw the Jets and screw JT since he is now a Jet and loving every min of being a Jet!

Jason Taylor is newsworthy and a legitimate interview subject in South Florida on the eve of a Jets-Dolphins game where he’s playing on the other team.

Yeah, they're talking about it right now. They had Zach on earlier, great...The douche or no douche game is funny, but they think this might actually go national. Pretty hilarious if it does go national.

Taylor also believed that is Parcells was not in Miami, he would have been resigned in Miami, which is odd as there is no doubt Tuna made him a contract offer during the season that he spurned.

Yeah so Parcells is a douche because he never bowed and scraped around Taylor.
He's a douche because he expected Taylor to be involved in mini camps and training camp learning a new defense instead of Dancing With The Stars.
He's a douche because he didn't treat Taylor special.
He's also a douche for believing Taylor wanted to be a Dolphin for life (like he said he did) and offering him a contract in November while Taylor was dinged up.

It's really unfortunate after the entire 20-minute interview, all that comes out is JT went with "douche" in the game. Dude can't win.

That DoND segment was hilarious. And he really didn't want to say it.

Way to guarantee the boo's Sunday night JT. Either way, he's probably partially right, however at the same time, we have younger players that were ready to step up, we drafted young talent at the position, bottom line is JT was just not needed.

In the interview, JT said once again that he was never offered a contract.

Dan asked if it was a post-it note like Ricky got on the field. JT said no, it was a verbal thing. Said they sat down for a bit. Previous reports were that the Dolphins wanted JT to forgo his agent in any negotiation.

Generally the truth is somewhere in the middle with these kinds of things. But I still tend to believe JT on this one.

Parcells is not a douche, he's shrewd. Taylor's a drama queen. What's so douchy about Parcells, his conviction?

    Why?

Taylor at the time said "it was unprofessional" in regards to the post it note offer, so now that never happened either?

He's been called a lot worse in his time. Ask Phil Simms about Parcells.

In reality, we really don't truly know enough about either of them to say one way or another. Especially Parcells. He's never even spoken with the media down here.

Ugly fact of the matter is, the two years Taylor was not here, the Dolphins were either a better team or got off to a better start than with Taylor.

I love the dude, but suspect he is a drama queen who expected to be catered to a bit too much.

I seriously think that JT would have been happy playing his last seaason/seasaons as a Dolphin. I don't think money was the issue either !!

To me, stipulating that a 13-year veteran negotiate without his agent -- someone he's been with his entire career -- is pretty odd (if that's indeed true).

I think we might be over-analyzing a bit. I don't think it really matters whether it was a post-it note or a tap on the shoulder. What counts is that the Dolphins approached him informally and then something -- or nothing -- happened. I've always felt that they had some kind of discussion and JT intimated that today.

If so, he wouldn’t have pulled a diva act over a contract offer being made on a post-it note.

Well i dont know about that, and I dont doubt that to be true. But he is the greatest pass rusher that we have ever had, and he is entitled to some credit. I just think that we [some fans] go over the top some times.

Taylor wanted a contract extension. It was offered to him. He balked that the contract offer wasn’t in writing. Parcells grabbed a post-it note and wrote an offer on there. Taylor then engaged diva mode and grabbed headlines through April, eventually signing with the Jets because they gave him a helicopter tour of Manhattan and let his wife buy whatever she wanted on a shopping spree.

I fail to see where Taylor’s sack count factors into this chain of events. He wanted a contract offer. He got two. Leaving because the offer wasn’t printed on $1000 stationary and presented to him on a golden platter with the quill of an extinct bird dipped into high-quality ink ready for his graceful signature is NOT a legitimate reason to sign with a rival.

And by the way, I give Zach Thomas a pass on his defense of Jason Taylor and Taylor’s version of events because he’s doing exactly what’s expected of him.

Hey Dee, do you think he signed for the Jets to get back at us ? Or to just elongate his career.

If it were me I would never sign for them, but thats just me. Thats the only thing for me

I absolutely think revenge is his primary motive. His wife loving New York is a strong secondary motive.

No one on that team likes him. He showed up to meetings and events as late as possible just to avoid dealing with everyone on that Jets squad. He clearly hates the team and city, but he wants to pull a Brett Favre and beat us twice.
