Hey guys, havent been to a game in a couple years. When do they open the gates to start tailgating?

I was under the impression that it was 4hrs before kickoff, but I've also heard only 3hrs?

So, what time will the gates open on Sunday for us tailgaters?

You were correct. I'm pretty sure it's an NFL rule or something but it's absolutely 100 percent sure 4 hours before and 2 hours after....

    Parking
Stadium parking gates open 4 hours prior to game time. Parking lots close two (2) hours from the conclusion of regulation play

    from the official site...

So, kickoff at 8:20, that puts us at 4:20pm when the gates open then?

There's always a line before the gates open, and Sunday will be no exception. The only way to get the prime orange lot tailgate spots is to get there when they open the gates. Otherwise, the pay lots allow tailgating, but that area sucks and is usually full of the opposing team fans.

I'm assuming you need a parking pass to get the "prime orange lots"?

I dont have a parking pass, so I'm assuming I'll be in the pay lots. Bring on the Jets fans!

Everybody is always welcome to tailgate with us & PHinaddicts. Bring a cooler full of here, that's all. Food, kornhole and a tent will be provided :))

I have only been to a couple of games down there, but have NEVER been able to tailgate. I REALLY WISH I could experience this with some other REAL fans. You guys don't know what you have down there.

Yup. You can sometimes find one from a scalper before getting to the stadium. They're always set up 1/2 mile around the stadium selling tickets. Sometimes they have them sometimes not. Ebay is an option too. The orange pass is usually an extra $20 over the cost of the cash lot, but is well worth it. Trying to leave the cash lot after a close, down to the wire game, is near impossible, the orange lots filter out pretty fast.

Tailgating at cash lots (outside of stadium)

Do you know what time the cash lots open? I would like to get there around 1pm and start tailgating. I know the stadium gates won't open until 4 hours prior to game time.
