MIAMI DOLPHINS BANDITS: The DOLPHINS are very skeptical about REVIS' INJURY...even though REX listed him on the NFL INJRY LIST--as "OUT". Ryan has until SUNDAY morning to change his STATUS---Im sure ALL DOLPHIN FANS WANT HIM TO PLAY...hes our #1 TARGET to HECKLE!---ALSO--- NO DIRT INFIELD for this Big Game! ROSS told Stadium managers to get the field nice and Clean! This game is just Looming in the AIR... is it not? Marky Marc

That's from Facebook. I don't doubt it at all, Ross likes things to look good and I'm sure he wants the stadium to look good for Primetime. Marlins last home game is tonight, then they don't play home until September 30, a couple days to get the infield back.

I guess that means we can expect it to be gone for the MNF game against the Pats too. Marlins have a 1pm game the day before, they'll probably start clearing it after.

Hmm, would be awesome if true, but I'm skeptical.

Yah I've heard about the field being cleaned up for Sunday. It's quite the umm topic in a certain area right now to say the least.

Very doubtful at best. Don't see us able to "Get Back" to football until the next home game.

We do have an advantage in Carpenter's ability to kick from the "litter box." :)

You'd be very wrong then. The info is leaking directly from the Dolphins so don't expect the usual dirt/mud infield.

Been wrong before, hope I am now. I just do not see the infield being covered in that short a period. It may be done but, may also be worse if they do.

Even if they drop sod it will take a while to root properly, the field may look good but will not hold up for the entire game.
I love the Marlins but can't wait for them to leave to their new home.

    Sweet!

Meh, I'd love for Revis to try and bring down Marshall on a sore hamstring. His pain should be especially nurturing to me.

Probably because no one is particularly concerned with Revis either way, the fellas on NFLN and ESPN care about him, most Dolfans kinda yawn over himself and his rinky dink "island".

Sorry turkey, I'd bet Gillgan can burn him for a TD.

As to Revis..saying Ryan has until Sunday while technically correct, is kind of misleading. I say look at it this way. If Revis DOESN'T travel with the team, then he's not playing. If he DOES travel with the team he'll play. So..in other words we'll know when the Jets get off the plane on Saturday whether or not Revis will be active for this game.

You mean the Marlins new stadium ? Its getting done on time and under budget. Yes that is right, under budget. Amazing how that happens when you make the team responsible for the cost overruns......anyways here is what it looked like this afternoon....

So it looks legit now that there won't be dirt for the game. Now if only they could quickly add some seats closer to the field with metal floors like the Orange Bowl had to distract the Jets some more.....

By the way, that Marlins stadium looks like a lot is done. It really won't be done by April??

No, I remember when Citi Field was being built, this is like halfway. This is just the frame of the place, there is so much to add inside.

I don't see Ross spending all that money to put new turf in and then have to rip it out for that baseball team and then spend the money to put the turf back in.

If he does, kudos to Ross for spending the money.

There is a picture of the field as of now. It looks like there is some grass where 2nd base should be, but it's hard to tell. What I don't understand is why don't they just have a grass infield like the Blue Jays do? There is just dirt around the bases and the pitchers mound: [IMG] Wouldn't that have made more sense for a football/baseball stadium?

OK Im nervous if we slop down a ****ty infield grass that doesnt take. and we lose a acl all hell is gonna break loose.

This seems like Ross trying to play to a national crowd. I hate the infield but this is premature imo.

Truth of the matter is Revis hasn't really played all that well historically against the Dolphins. See last year as a good example.

We respect Revis, but aren't exactly scared of him.

Why can't they cover the dirt infield with artificial turf and just leave it there......the only dirt the Marlins would need is a small patch where you slide into the bag, and the pitcher's mound area.

Having that infield dirt this time and day is an absolute embarrassment. I can't wait for the Marlins to get the **** out of our stadium. They can enjoy the new fancy-schmancy stadium that will house the 4 people who attend Marlins games.
