I taped on my DVR, and listened to it live on the radio with Cefalo, the Mad Dog and the Big Dog. Dierdorf is very good friends with Mandich so he usually gives a fairly good break because of that.
We need to show up the jets on sunday night to get some good credit. It wont be easy though, the jets are a solid team. If our offense starts to finish drives we may be tough to be though.
Minnesota was in the NFC Championship game last year. they have Brett Favre as their quarterback. they are now 0-2. gripe all ya want, but it IS a bigger story than Miami winning.
They'll have to resopect us once we kick the **** out of the Jets next sunday night in front of all the world to see.
To say he was all over our jock is a bit too much imo. He was calling it well, because frankly we were shutting them down till the Ricky fumble...but I perceived it as this begrudging acceptance to our play today. He is not by any means as bad as Simms and the Patriots or Madden and Favre...but I had this disdain at times listening to him... On a side note, Rodney (emphasis added) and Dungy praised our defense's efforts on the Football Night in America telecast. Rodney went so far as to say something along the lines of Pats and Jets...and Miami?
Tom Waddle and Jamie Dukes are beyond terrible. I cant stand either of them. They kept saying he has nothing around him. Well minus Sidney Rice, this pretty much the same team as last year. This Brett Farve bean bag love is getting old.
No doubt its a bigger story. I doubt anyone on hear thinks we would get more clammer, but there was really no credit given to the Dolphins. Give credit where credit is due. Just because Brett Favre is the bigger story, does not mean that it is okay to disrespect the phins.
That is true, only Berman tossed the Dolphins anything more than a crumb. A 5 minute segment would have 4:00 on the Vikes, 1 minute on the Phins.
We are all used to the dolphins getting less face time, all we ask is that, when we win, in the last second you tact on something like "oh, and the dolphins did a good job and reference sparano or parcells".
We will show them something they cant ignore after the media darlings get their asses handed to them.
Wait until Berman gets on SportsCenter tonight with The Blitz. He will find every way to suck off Farve and give zero credit to Miami as usual. We didn't go into one of the hardest places to win on the road and dominate on the D side of the ball...The Vikes and Farve just didn't get the win. Happens all the time. LOL
Yeah we wern't getting much love today especially before the game. Boomer acted like it was a joke we were even going to set foot in their house. Even Dan acted like he didn't think we had a chance in hell. A few guys picked us on the NFLN...I think Sapp and somebody else. I'm sure we won't be picked again next week with the NY Overrated coming to play. Sanchez makes a couple good passes and all the sudden they are back in the superbowl. If you confused Favre and got some sacks, I can only imagine what Sanchez is going to be thinking. He's not playing that weak NE defense this week. He's got he Bad Boys of South Beach. Its on.
http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/story/...-argue-all-you-want-kolb-still-eagles-starter I'm surprised he gave it to us. His top 5 teams in the NFL: 1. New Orleans, 2. Green Bay, 3. Houston, 4. Miami, 5. Pittsburgh. How long can we hang with the best? A win next week would certainly do the trick for now, even if they lose to the Pats. I'm pretty sure all of us would've taken 3-1 w/ a win over the Jets into the bye before the season started.
Just let them keep discounting us. I prefer it that way, because then there is no hype for the boys to start to believe in.
As long as the 53 men in the locker room believe, I could give a **** less who believes in us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
keep winning, eventually they'll figure it out. always better to fly under the radar as long as you can... the critics & detractors are doing us a favor
last time Miami got consistent love was before the '06 season. i'm find with them not drenching us with their love and affection.
Willing to bet that if you were to ask any of those guys who Vontae Davis is, they'd answer "I'm sorry, who?"
Check out ESPN's weekly recap Podcast title.. Do you notice something different about the way they describe Miami? So the Texans and Bears won, but the Vikings lost.. Screw the national media, especially ESPN which is quickly becoming the biggest joke ever. I can't wait until the Heat win multiple Championships and these buffoons have to report on it with a manufactured smile.
All you need to know about ESPN's bias: In John Clayton's "Last Call" he throws this out: Is the Dolphins Defense that good or the Vikings offense this bad? I lean toward the latter. thanks, Professor.
This.....Favre took shots at Miami yesterday in his interview, saying something to the affect like "Nothing against those guys, but we should have won this game" something like that.... still a little bitter from getting dumped on your head when you were with the Jets, as Miami won the division that year ole Favre!??!?!?! I think Miami is in Favre's head....he cant beat them....!!!
http://espn.go.com/blog/afceast/post/_/id/18522/what-do-we-make-of-miamis-2-0-start More ESPN crapola. This comes from former Fins beat writer Tim Graham who was banished to Buffallo for some reason and now is a "blogger" for ESPN. What do we make of Miami's 2-0 start Tim? How about that Miami is a pretty damn good football team? Maybe not a Superbowl team, but as much a contender as the useless worthless disgusting Jets are.
I don't really have a problem with that blog, he is right, our defense has been good, our offense has been questionable. We scored 13 against the Bills and only 7 on offense yesterday. The defense has scored 9 points. Brown needs to get the ball more, and we are going to need to open up the offense some.
All that is fine and good, but the Ravens aren't taking the same kind of crap for their uneven performances, neither are the Bengals. People just assume that those are good teams that will get things figured. Whatever though. When we beat the Jets on Sunday night we'll let everybody talk
ESPN didn't show any Miami offensive plays in their game recap on SC. Not the massive run by Brown, and not the 50 yard bomb to Marshall to start the game. Absolutely ridiculous.
