I think it's about time. Like Tomb Raider, I think the DMC formula is soooooo played out (maybe not as bad as Tomb Raider though). This still surprises me. Capcom (at least through the 90s and early 2000s) is known for running IPs into the ground for every cent possible before even considering a change.
DMC isn’t anime-styled at all, and the linked screenshots don’t really scream anime either. I guess “anime” is the new “brown” when it comes to game complaints. More importantly, I’m not sure why DMC needed a reboot. They made Dante look like a druggie Max Payne. Edit: Okay, just watched the trailer. I guess that’s not Dante, but someone brainwashed to think he is for reasons unknown. Also, that’s not anime at all, that’s a Hollywood-style trailer through and through.
