My friend is in a 12 team league that needed one more so joined up for my first year playing. Not PPR and only league I'm in. Just wondering how everyone did?

I had fourth highest point total out of twelve, but didn't matter since my opponent that week had the highest point total . I started QB Schaub and he uncharacteristically throws for 100 yards while the running game dominated. RBs Steven Jackson and Ronnie Brown did alright, while WRs Hakeem Nicks and Miles Austin did really well. Guy I was playing had Eli Manning though so Nicks big day was countered some by that. Pierre Garcon and Zach Miller (OAK) disappointed and 49ers defense let Seattle whip them so got hurt there; Carpenter was my kicker. I was up three points after Sunday's games with all my players played while he had Antonio Gates left on MNF, which of course gained more than three points and gave me the L.

Play a friend I've known all my life (one who invited me) this coming week so hopefully beat him. He has Favre as QB and the old man has to play the league's #1 defense in yards allowed this week so I feel safe.

    I have a T-shirt that reads:

"I benched Hakeem Nicks and still won. And all I have to show for it is this lousy t-shirt." I left 20 points on the board (he had 25, my 2WR had 5 :() and only trailed the leader by 8. So an ok night, even though Romo and Witten didn't do squat.

    Abysmal.

Had the lowest point total in my own keeper league thanks to guys like Percy Harvin and Dwayne Bowe, and didn’t do much better in In_Flames’ league: dead last in one of the two divisions due to being on the opposite end of Chris Johnson, Chad Ochocinco, and Jay Cutler.

Week 2 needs to be better. 0-2 is a deep hole to dig out of.

meh Don't feel bad, I don't think I'd believe anyone who said they expected him to have that big of a game. I mean with Houston's injuries people knew to grab him but 200+? Schaub not having to do much really hurt me, 6 points compared to Palmer who had 19 sitting on my bench. Better luck next week. :hi5:

    0-4. :(
I got screwed by a lot of players. But you know when you get less than 60 points from Cutler, Rice, SJax, Megatron, Sims-Walker, Berrian and Gates (and Cutler accounts for 25 of those) you're not going to win.

Then I had Cutler, Benson, MoJo, Jennings, T.O., Dallas Clark and Ronnie Brown combine for 138 points and still lost in that league.

And I don't even want to talk about the egg Schaub, Andre Johnson, Sims Walker, Mike Wallace, SJax, Moreno and Dallas Clark laid for me or how Ryan Grant and Ray Rice got me a combined 7 points in my last league.

A really really poor week 1. And looking at my teams, I'm still really happy with them and think they can do well. I justh ave to hope for more production.

I lost. I had the third highest point total but played the guy with the second highest point total. What killed me was that Stafford was my QB and he got injured in the second quarter. He finished with -.84 points and I lost by 2.72 points. My other QB, Henne, scored just 2.09 points, but if I played him it would have been enough to win.

Miserable loss. Percy Harvin killed me and I had benched Forte.

If I could somehow have benched Ray Rice (unlikely) and started Forte, and played anyone else on my roster at receiver instead of Harvin, I would have had a win by only a few points. My stars all had tough matchups in week 1, and it was one of those weeks where you literally had to do everything perfect. I have pretty good matchups in week 2, though they are on the road.

So this week Harvin sits on the bench and Forte gets a start in the flex spot (over Ronnie Brown).

People who read my thread on him did.

The guy's a beast and even more importantly, his OL and Shaub are going to give him a ton of opportunities all season.

    2-1.

My loss was with this team:

    QB-Aaron Rodgers
    RB-Pierre Thomas
    RB-Jamaal Charles
    WR-Randy Moss
    WR-Percy Harvin
    TE-Jermichael Finley
    Flex-Arian Foster!!!
    K-Mason Crosby
    DST-Green Bay

    Lost 124.2-135.0

No other team other than the one I played against in my 12 team league would have beaten me...:pity:

I look for a pretty good season with this squad. I just got Brandon Jackson off of the WW too.

    Bench was:

    QB-Kevin Kolb
    RB-Tim Hightower
    RB-Michael Bush
RB-Kevin Smith (just dropped him for Brandon Jackson)
    WR-Malcom Floyd
    WR-Jabar Gaffney

    Did well....

Despite the fact that Brees had pedestrian numbers, Fitzy looks like he has been neutered and that my #2 RB was Spiller, I still won..

Nicks, Pierre Thomas and Dallas Clark helped me a ton... I thought I scored Jackson in GB during waivers but the damn commish setup a 2 day waiver period, so the guy right ahead of me in waiver order picked him up.. So instead I got Austin Collie and the rookie from KC, McCluster.. So guys, CJ Spiller or McCluster? Austin Collie or Maclin? The JETS D against NE or pickup a different D?
