I just got a text from ESPN Alerts saying that Kris Jenkins torn his ACL again for the second season in a row. Does this increase our chances to sweep the Jets again?
Yes, but it is a shame. Just like Will Allen, having season ending injuries early two years in a row must really blow, considering they do this for a living and its their passion.
Kris Jenkins was actually one of the only guys that after losing to the Dolphins said that the Jets should shut their mouths cause they got their @$$es kicked. I've respected him since that day. The rest of the Jets were still talking smack, something I can't understand till this day.
Jenkins was out 10 games last year and they still seemed to manage the top overall defense last year. I think they should be ok.
My thoughts exactly. He's damn good, but they were the #1 defense without him for a majority of the season.
Guys! I think this is just one example showing how we are different from Jets fans. If one of our guys were to go down like this, I could imagine what would be posted on ganggreen.
As mentioned, they're good without him but even better with him. Dude considered retirement after tearing up the same ACL last year. Worked hard to come back, used an unconventional 'cookie diet' to lose the weight and be ready for camp. Guy was in the best shape of his life. Just a really bad break for a guy I like. It could be the end for one of the most dominating players of this era. Parcells once called Jenkins the best defensive lineman in the league by a wide margin.
I agree, and even tho he's a jest, I've followed his career from here in Charlotte and he's really a good guy...too bad he's a jest and even worse is these injuries...could be his last hurrah...
He was one of my favorite players on the Panthers. I do respect him, especially after he blasted his big mouth teamates. Im glad the Jets are w/o him, but I feel for the guy.
When you watched him on HK he had so much passion, and fire. When he came off the field last night he looked uncertain, and scared.....you knew something was wrong..poor bastard..... I dont feel bad for the team, as I said on another thread, but I feel bad for the guy...solid guy right there....
ROFLMAO...good stuff. Anyway, sometimes you see guys get hurt and its just a freak injury. Not this one. He got absolutely buried by two guys. It was a thing of beauty if you like trench warfare. Sorry to see anyone get hurt...however, in the scheme of life this isnt serious, so I have no problem with every Jet player tearing an ACL. Not seriously, just enough to have them miss....the Super Bowl.
Yeah sitting in the front row front of Cowboys Stadium watching the Dolphins holding the Lombardi Trophy
Wow - that sucks for Jenkins. I really feel for him, he's one of the few Jets players I actually like and respect. Hope that's not a career ender - he got straight up steamrolled on that play and it would be a shame if that was his final work in the league.
As much as I dislike the Jets,I really don't "hate"their players,it is more the media that blows smoke up our azz because they so desperatley want them to succede because they are in NY.I do enjoy watching the experts look like the fools that they are.
Never hope injury on anyone..heres hopin to a strong comeback for Kris Jenkins, sounds like he is a decent guy
