Sucks for them. I won't lose sleep over this. I don't know about the rest of you but I don't think there will be an NFL season in 2011.

Apologies from one man to another should take no more than a nod and a cold beer. These guys are acting like children.

I'd be shocked if their wasn't. The NFL is HUGE now. It's literally everywhere you look. Ads, merchandise, etc. There is too much money on the line for anyone to risk it. Something will get worked out.

I initially read that as Mankins dies due to apology.

Totally unnecessary on the part of the Patriots.

Guy willingly made amends with Kraft. Trying to get him to lay down in front of the fans is a total over the line. A power play by the team so they can regain the appearance of having the upper hand on the guy. They want him to basically tell the fans he was wrong, he was a greedy jerk and the team was right.

What self-respecting man would do that?

Apologize nothing. This is business. If he got hurt, they'd cast him aside quicker than you can say "play out your contract". This is between him and the organization. And I'm glad they're shooting themselves in the foot.

Good for Mankins. It takes balls and an iron clad set of principles to turn down a contract like that over being treated like ****.

Plus it hurts the Patsies.

    Official AFC East Ownership/Management Rankings:

    1. Miami Dolphins
    2. Buffalo Bills (They suck, but they're nice about sucking)
    3. New England Patriots (Good at player evaluation but arrogant)
    4. New York Jest (Super Bowls are won by cutting proven vets and signing DB's scared of tackling and over-the-hill RB's)
