Marshall played well IMO. its forgotten because of the 40 yard play that shoulda been but Marshall has shown that if you get the ball to him, he'll make plays. 8 receptions, 13 passes thrown his way? He's going to have a good year. I see no reason he won't get to 100 receptions again.

I knew he was going to be good... but when he whiffed that defender, planted his arm to keep from going down, and picked up the few extra yards... wow.

Every time he's on the field he's making plays whether he's the target or not. It's truly awesome to have.

Ill tell you one thing, he certainly helps the running game.
I believe, if i remember correctly, Ronnie ran wide left and Marshall was blocking a corner...I think it was a safety that came flying up from the middle, and Marshall let go of his block and closelined the safety...the guy did a back flip!!! He will forever remember the day he came for Ronnie...and met THE BEAST!!!!

People have been making way too much out of that block. He disengaged from the cornerback who ended up making the tackle on a run that went for two yards.

If he doesn't pick up that saftey though its for -2 yards. Not to mention Ronnie getting hit by a guy with a 10 yard running head start.

8 catches and one drop which was not all his fault.

    Not bad.

You have a point, but I will take his protective instinct to go after the guy he feels might be more of a threat any day. That guy got levelled!!! The corner back did make the tackle but you gotta choose one of the 2 in front of you...and he chose to pancake! lol:hi5:

Marshall showed he is a physical player. In preseason i understood he wanted to be good.

Today while he didnt light it up yard wise, th eguy fought for every yard thats what real football player's do. Marshall we stand behind ya forever if ya fight like that.

    19 never sounded so sweet.

Henne - you managed a good game but if Marshal is doubled go to Bess!

Didn't he have 2? The deep pass and the out near the sideline? Either way, he played a good game. Got some clutch 1st downs too.
