Dolphins | Sparano plans to spend time in the office Fri, 18 Apr 2008 15:26:14 -0700 Ethan J. Skolnick, of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, reports Miami Dolphins head coach Tony Sparano said he plans to spend a lot of time in the office. Sparano said he would sit in the office until 1 a.m. if that's what it takes to make sure he is on top of the film tape. http://www.kffl.com/hotw/nfl
WOW, it is really dead in the news world. I can just picture it before print: "Hold the presses, i got another story.... Sparano will be in his office and get this, he will be working."
I wish the article had been more informative, it doesn't mention what tapes he's talking about. My guess is that it'll be on the opponents we'll be facing this year, rather than potential draft picks. I've been wondering how much input he's had in this draft...probably not much.
I think Gruden of Tampa Bay spends 18-20 hours a day in his office. That's what you make the big bucks for.
Yeah thats true. He does, they had "In Their Own Words" on him on NFLN and they were talking about how he gets four hours of sleep every day. He watches film around 4 or 5 AM and then all other hours, he is either with the team practicing and etc or in the office evaluating again.
Sparano had better keep his behind in the office, and on the field, 20 hours a day. He's got some winnin ta do!
