i cant understand why so many people are feeling questioning the team. there is absolutely nothing to complain about at this point.... atleast not yet.

this off season you would swear ireland was reading these forums with all the changes. everything everyone wanted seemed to happen.
    we signed BRANDON MARSHALL
    and tedd ginn is gone
    we signed karlos dansby
    and aiken ayodell is gone.

some people wanted to trade camarillo, it happened
some people wanted to demote sean smith it happened
some people wanted to get rid of injury prone players like justin smiley and jake grove, it happened
people werent happy with joey porters mouth vs production, hes gone
people complained about pat turner and pat white, both gone.

sounds to me like picking up a proven stud free safety is the only thing people still have to complain about around here.

and that didn't happen because there really wasn't one to get. Sure we missed out on Ryan Clark, but is he a stud? no. He's good. Certainly better than what we have, but I wouldn't have been happy with us getting into a bidding war for him.

Theres problems with this team, of course. But the positive moves we made outweigh the negative. by a lot.

Perfectly said. It seems like people are worried because we struggled in the preseason and Parcells just stepped down. However, it's just preseason, and we KNEW Parcells was going to do this when we signed him a few years ago. He got us back on track, and that's what he was brought in to do. Also, he's still part of the team so I don't know why people are complaining.

Those are my exact concerns also. Maybe adding Sparanos game management on my worry list.

Are you referring to what happened during the, um, preseason?

    Nothing to complain about?

    Did you watch the preseason?

I'm not trying to be a downer, simply realistic. I'm choosing not to close my eyes and be blindly optimistic. Not saying you are. Just that I feel I have valid concerns about this team which prevent me from being confident in them.

Ask yourself this question: where are the Dolphins dominant right now?

If you answered 'nowhere', then you should be concerned. Not despondent. Not capitulating. Just concerned.

I still live and die by every game. It's all wait-and-see. But my enthusiasm is admittedly tempered right now.

People are emotionally invested in the team. Go figgure. Makes no sense at all that people would live and die with the performance of the team.

    Well said.
I wear my emotions on my sleeve. That's the way I have always been towards the Dolphins. That will never change either.
Am I happy with what I've seen the WHOLE pre-season? No,not at all....
I wish it was a mirage and I hope that we can "pull one out" today.

    Why is that,Bro?

    I don't rob banks,I never shot anyone,I don't do drugs,I have no criminal record that I know of:shifty:
Point is I enjoy watching my Dolphins teams. It's a hobby,I enjoy it.It doesn't hurt or bother anyone.I don't see a problem with ANYONE being a die hard and rooting for their team.

    It's called passion.

We love the game and the team. It's not unusual. Hell I started a business centered around it.

I think people thought by getting Dansby and Marshall, getting rid of Ginn, Henne having another year of experience, a TC for our Oline to gel, getting JPs presence off this team, getting better players than White and Turner would manifest itself to looking at a much better team in the preseason. I was not impressed.

Maybe I will be after the Bills game, and all of the concerns I have (other than FS) will turn out to be nonsensical overreaction. We'll see.

But right now, looking at this team, I less than overwhelmed and have moderate to low confidence in them.
