This Martin thing can't be legit. Doesn't make sense to only have 1 TE, im not counting Nalbone. Especially when they are trying to run 2 TE sets.

Maybe we won't, especially if we like our WRs a lot (more 3WR than 2TE sets).

As much as I disagree with Bess starting opposite Marshall, there is little reason not to have him on the field as much as possible.

I'd also count Nalbone as a TE.

    Trade in the works maybe?

Greg Olsen would make sense in the absence of DMart.

Though K Sperry makes more sense.

The Greg Olsen ship sailed a long time ago.

Maybe we want Nathan Overbay who Denver waived.

I mean that would be the only thing that would make sense to me, because they could always bring Baker back if need be. This would kind of give them a chance at an "extra" guy on the roster, because they will know what the PS guys can do and can be brought up at any time.

Makes sense, you need the HC in on the decision making process.

Plus let's be honest, they hate the media already if everything was wrapped up this evening at 5:30, then the Omark's of the world would have tomorrow away from Davie..

    Agreed.

I had thought Overbay was a guy we had a lot of interest in when he came out.

I wonder what the % is of players signing to a different teams practice squad than whom they started training camp with? 10%? Just seems like every year, teams know who they can get back on their PS before they are cut.

10% is probably close to right, I can't imagine it being much higher.

    Interesting.

And information just dried up, none of the media bloggers are reporting anything right now, I'd guess down to slots 54-61/62 even the order that they waive people is something they'd prefer to keep under wraps?

Did they work out a deal for Antonio Gates or something?

So it's Fasano, Gates and Nalbone?

I sure hope so man. I remember CK saying that Martin looked just as good and fast as before in preseason.

I just don't trust that Nalbone kid at all. I guess we'll see.

Jarius Wynn (a 2009 6th rd draft pick) was waived by Green Bay. He's 6'5" 273. I don't know anything else except that he isn't PS eligible.

I guess so I just don't know what the difference would be between now and 2008 it's not like he did anything between all that. We have absolutely nobody worth anything behind Fasano now and that sucks :(

Mike Berardino is trying to confirm the David Martin news that WQAM are reporting.

Denver traded Alphonso Smith to Detroit for a Gronkowski (not sure which one) and a pick.

Yeah, if Martin's agent is shocked, there goes the theory of him coming back after week one. You'd think he'd somehow be in on it.

I'm somewhat surprised that we have gotten down to 7 cuts left and some of the names that are left.

Aside from Martin and Turner, no offensive skill guys who really had a shot at playing, that tells us that Sparano is more or less happy with his offensive core group.

I'm still surprised we have not seen a ripple of Db's being waived.

As for John "the fish" Nalbone..Sparano is taking too much of a chance with him I'd prefer Kory Sperry to the Fish.

Either they have someone in mind or they think they don't have a problem at TE. If it's the latter, Mike Nolan should thank Sparano for making it so easy to take over as HC next year.
