    What a great day!

College football gets going for real, and the Dolphins cut both Pat White and Pat Turner.

And I gave them credit for doing the right thing and admitting that mistake. Of course, if they were as good as I am, they would have realized that neither player was worth a cuss before they took them and would have never drafted them to begin with.

I told you the guy wouldn't make it as an NFL quarterback. It's OK to just admit it and bow down at my feet telling me how right I am.

It sucks to see someone lose his job, and i'm sure that he'll get at least one chance on another team. That being said I was never a fan of the pick and i'm glad that he's gone, he was never going to catch on here so its for the better.

Guys thats 3 high draft picks in a row they whiffed on:

    Pat White--Gonzo
    Seam Smith--A gross disappointment
    Pat Tuner--Gonzo

I am actually surprised they are as good as they are, even with these failures, even though the jury is still out on Smith.

You're putting Sean Smith in with the other 2? Calling him a whiffed pick? You even have the audacity to call him a gross disappointment at this point?

    Wow. Just wow.

    Well away from here
I'm guilty of coining the phrase "Wild Knee" package so that's my part. I don't want him to fail cause that means it hurts the team, but it is what it is.

Maybe he just can't throw well enough to make it work?

Big effin deal. You had a 50-50 shot. I can flip a quarter, too.

I said that Michael Oher would be the best tackle of the draft bar none, but you don't see me pushing everyone's head down below my belly button and gloating like a fool in the process. Show some class and humility. You're worse than Napolean.

Stitch, thats why I wrote the jury is still out....

But yes, he has been a disappointment so far. Last year he wasnt that good, and this preseason he has been beaten like a drum by scrubs, and is possibly riding pine Week 1......so to catergorize him as a dissapointment so far isnt anything to be in awe of.....

Starter by default, last year a starter because that unit was/is so poor, it wasnt that hard to be a starter.....guys I am looking on the field of play, and what I have seen out of him is just avg......

Of course I will go into this season with an open mind, and hopefully the kid shines as I am rooting for him, and I know he can do it, as the ability is there......but the results just aren't yet..

It's OK. You thought Pat White would be a starting quarterback in the NFL. Live and learn. I'll continue my lesson on why run first quarterbacks don't do well in the NFL with Tyrod Taylor this year. Pay attention, because I don't want to see you think another braindead run first quarterback actually has the ability to be a starting quarterback in the NFL.

See ya Pat. Thanks for the effort. What a god damn wasted pick. Someone better pay for this. Surprised we didnt at least try him out at another position though.

THe stupidity of this pick is now confirmed.

At least they had the Cajones to cut bait instead of cutting guys with more potential just to justify a botched draft pick. It's more than some mgmt. teams would do.

Kudos to dropping dead weight no matter how high the dead weight was drafted.

Not to get into yall's argument but it was much more than a "50-50" shot.

All the signs and I mean ALL THE SIGNS were there that Pat White wouldn't ever make it as a legit NFL QB.

They simply took a gamble that this kid could be as electric with his feet against NFL competition as he could college competition. That his speed would allow him to turn the corner just as well on roll out options and that they could improve his accuracy. That he would in essence improve the Wild Cat over what Ronnie Brown brings to the table.

They were DEAD WRONG on all of the above.
It was an experiment and a gamble bottom line.
We weren't in a position to take such a gamble as team needing multiple pieces of base personnel to take steps to the next level but they did it.

It is what it is but it certainly isn't at all shocking this experiment did not work.
