    seattle - deon butler
raiders - jacoby ford/ todd watkins
    browns - carlton mitchell
lions - derrick williams/ brian clark

i dont know padre. pruitt would have a hard time beating out those guys. i like pruitt and hope he sticks around for nexxt year but he's not really ready to help this year IMO. I'm waiting to see who Cincy cuts. the receivers they cut will probably all be either better or have better potential than pruitt. who knows maybe you're right and andre caldwell gets cut. briscoe, jones, simpson. alot of names there

Ouch. Between Pat White and Turner, they whiffed on the slots of two players who should be contributing.

yeah i think he's a bit faster than turner and same body type plus he comes a bit cheaper. i'm still not sure he will be on our squad next week. i'm waiting for cincy to cut their excess receivers and see if we make a play for any of them

We are pretty deep at WR IMO.

when you look at the players picked between the end of the first round and in the second....their record isn't good.

    Philip Merling-avg at best
    Pat White-bust
    Pat Turner-bust
    Sean Smith-Avg at best

They need to do a better job of drafting. You aren't going to hit on every pick, I understand, but in the second round I expect you to hit on 50% and one of those guys should be a good player. None of these guys are good.

well if 50% is your criteria then Chad Henne and Koa Misi are also 2nd rounders and Merling and Smith arent busts. we'll see what happens with merling and smith but theyt are still developing. by next year we should be able to write the last chapter on them. so basically you have two busts, probably two good players and two that have unrealized potential

Back when New England was trotting out late round rookies and such in primetime and getting results.

Wallace has Turner's size but has shown more. Might as well keep the big good one.

Good post, however...I disagree, we should keep the bad one. :tongue2:

I'm fairly confident that it will change. If not thru the waiver wire, then I have a feeling they will switch Wallace, and Moore week by week unless one is standing well ahead....

Or they might actually keep all 5 WRs active (if Nalbone gets cut).

That would leave them with only 2 TE's? I'd like you to be correct just so both Moore, and Wallace see some playing time but with the way this offense SHOULD use constant 2 TE sets, I don't know....

Yea, I don't expect us to only roster 2 TEs either due to our propensity of 2 TE sets, but supposedly before Martin came back we were ready to run more 3WR sets.

Yep, either set can take a major advantage of an open middle of the field. Thanks to the addition of Marshall.

You expect to hit 50% but you should expect 100% of your 2nd and 3rd rounders to stick it out for 3 years to evaluate them. But these guys sucked so bad they only needed one. That's a huge whiff.

Misi hasn't played a down yet, so let's wait and see eh ;)

Shame we wasted that pick now on Turner. At least hartline has panned out. Surprised to see Wallace over Moore though. I figured it was the other way around, easily.

Let's not jump the gun on that...

That 2009 draft was ****ing terrible for us. Wasted picks in the heart of the draft. What a shame.

I'm very happy Wallace and Moore made the team. They really proved they can play this preseason. Wallace over Moore may be a bit of a surprise at first, that's right. But I think they are quite equal regarding production. And they're better than Turner.

Well, at least we're getting production out of Brian Hartline.
