The Jets have shown nothing to even remotely indicate taking the division. SI just proves if you run your mouth enough, people will eventually believe you... Their offense has scored, what, 2 touchdowns all preseason? Defense, the "strength" of the team, has even been leaky. Their star LB and DB are both out indefinitely as well. I'm guessing: 1) Patriots 2) Dolphins 3) Jets 4) Bills
I don't see anything wrong with his predictions. I agree with them, except I see Miami going to 10-6 and having a good chance at a WC spot. The only part I disagree with is the Steelers winning the division. The Ravens are the best team in that division.
Football is so hard to predict, because every game is crucial in a 16 game season. Injuries, players not progressing, little win/lose streaks, strength of schedule, etc are so much more magnified in a 16 game season. I'm a lifelong Dolphins diehard, but I can see us having anywhere from 6 to 11 wins. We have a brutal Away game schedule (Vikings, Packers, Ravens, and Bengals), while the Jets get all of those teams at home....
Seriously, am I the only one who honestly believe that the Dolphins could finish between 12-4 and 14-2 this year?
Luckily for us, SI picked the Panthers to beat the Dolphins in the Super Bowl in 2006. Phins finished in last and the Panthers didn't do much better. Maybe they're a jinx. Miss Cleo has more credibility. 12 more days until it finally starts and these endless predictions can go away.
Its funny that we are having this conversation as im watching Sports Center where they are saying "Are the Jets ready to hit the panic button?" cuz sanchez just isnt getting it done right now! HAHAHa
Pittsburgh over Green Bay for the SB? Hey Peter King, Big Ben has been suspended 4-6 games....you probably forgot about that huh? The Jets will not even make the playoffs...I am saying 7-9 tops. Humble Pie for Ryan and the Sanchise.
Antonio Cromartie's hip is starting to bother him again, and with Revis still on his private island, they are in trouble.
IMO the Jets are a .500 team. They have a good defense that is missing a couple of stars. It should still be good but a step below last season. And as much as I like JT, I think he's cursed. He seems to almost always be on the team that will under perform expectations. On offense, they've struggled. I don't see any reason to believe they will improve on last year and I see reasons to believe they'll take a step back. I think the Pat's offense will be scary. Unfortunately for them, I think their defense might be too, but only to Pat's fans. I don't think they're physical enough and will have to out-scheme teams to win and hope that their offense scores enough to take opponents out of the run game. I see them as a 10 win team that is dangerous enough to get a couple more wins. I think Miami's defense will be better than the Pats but not as good as the Jets. And that Miami's offense will be better than the Jets but not as good as the Pats. I see Miami as a 10 win team that could surprise and get a couple more wins.
