A bit more about streaming a game

With 1 calendar month to go until the season opens, and the nearly inevitable "do you have a link to a stream" threads that will pop up.

A little reality is in order in that several sites will not carry NFL content, they just will not, especially on the heels of:

    http://www.infowars.com/feds-ignore-due-process-first-amendment-shut-down-thousands-of-blogs/

Now then, that does not mean the entire "watch online" effort is doomed, as several clever stream providers simply label their Stream as something else, for example that Saints v Pats preseason game maybe is hidden as "WWE Wrestlemania".

    Worth a look..;)

However that is just the preseason, the actual regular season action is much tougher to find (hat tip to the Mendacious Medi) and are prone to having their stream..dammed..as it were.

All is not lost, as there are a few options:

Sportspals is a UK based NFL concern that appears to focus on gambling..say it ain't so!

There are others that will emerge as the preseason rolls along, for example MyTvu has been known to carry games, as has Sopcast (hosted in the PRC) and MyP2P.

The problem is, to make those work well, one must preinstall the software to..err...experiment with those sites, Sopcast uses a Torrent, MyP2 often offers streams available in several flavors of Torrent, from Veetle, to UTorrent..

So as the season approaches, please consider this a primer on what one needs to do, and more importantly TEST THE THING BEFOREHAND so one does not become "THAT guy" the one who starts the thread:

"Does anyone have a link to a stream of the game"?

Jackhole, you had a month to straighten these things out..now it is 12:45 on September 12th and you cannot find the Bills game?

I think Med said in his thread that Justin TV only allows 100 viewers per stream now or something along those lines. I used channelsurfing last preseason and it worked okay when it didn't I was always able to find it without downloading anything. You just have to look around.
I always get ST for the season though that way I don't stress. I wake up buy beer and cook food and wait for it to be on right in front of me.

I suspect things will be much more difficult this season KP.

As for Season Ticket, would be nice, unemployment is nearly 10%, if one can manage to keep a high speed cable connection open, then the what..300 bucks for ST is not really in the cards.

I totally understand. People are strapped. I save a little throughout the year just so I can make sure to afford it. Then I call and ask if they have any deals or can help me out. I have never paid $300 bro. It is usually $200.

True, well imho it is better to let folks have the choice, as watching a game on the flat screen is much more enjoyable than squinting at a computer screen.

I have been hoping for a long time that the NFL would offer single game packages for viewing to take the cost of a full package from fans who don't have access to games out of their market. We know to date they continue to charge for the full deal. I like having all the games myself but I might change my tune if those type of options were available. You would think in this day and age with the internet and all they would explore that type of outlet at least. We know the big machine has to be just that. I love this game but honestly they make plenty of money anyway. The copyright infringement on streaming is a little overboard but we can't dictate their rules. Unfortunately we have to abide by them.
Audio streams are out there but maddening. I've done the Field Pass thing a few years in the preseason but it isn't the same for me. I have NFLN so I'll be good on Saturday but I'll be searching for video streams for the rest of the preseason after that.

I watch nfl games online for last 3 years... Lot of looking to find good place where I can watch the games until I find one best site last year.... Here is the link...

    http://www.myp2pforum.eu/forum.php

It is same site OP was talking about. You will find what you need in this place and I will not say anything more about this :)

So far that is the best option, however it is better to have alternatives as well.

Sorry but this year I sign up for NFL re-wind 39.99 for every regular game all season long.

    https://gamerewind.nfl.com/nflgr/secure/registerform

No cursing when I lose the signal or can't find it or get cut off. I may have to watch my Dolphins a day late but I'll do it without interruption.

Unfortunately, the Re-Wind is only available for American residents.

I would gladly pay for a service like that so I can watch and record, etc. Other than Sunday Ticket, there are no other options. I thought this was the 21st century.

I just don't see why the NFL doesn't offer real-time streaming. I would gladly pay for a nice HD stream.

edit: I do see that you can subscribe to ST-To Go but $350 is just a little too much for streaming.

    Where something is rotten
There are other options - I use a streaming site which streams all NFL games, NFL network 24/7 during the season, NCAA, CFL, as well as other sports and stuff..
They have even been streaming all of Miami's pre-season games live..

It's 4$ a week, 10$ a month or 50$ for 6 months.. It's flash based players so recording might be an issue, but I'm sure there are ways to do it..
