Which was mentioned during the live thread, Wallace had no experience at all blocking on the wing on the punt unit.

Pad...I believe that Wallace has much more upside than Turner. He seems to be Quicker and more sure footed in routes and cuts...maybe because of the years of Soccer in Panama, also younger....jmho

The only thing that concerned me about the play is that he seemed to completely lose concentration...he wasn't even looking at the guy he was supposed to be covering...I guess that's part of the learning process, but lack of concentration is unacceptable, especially for a guy fighting for his NFL football life...

But, he can improve. The thing is, he'll have to surpass Turner, who turned in a decent outing and has looked good during TC so far as well...

Turner isn't a demon on STs either, so I guess it will come down to who wants to put in the effort to improve on STs and who has the most upside as a WR. Wallace is equal in size and much faster, so if he can learn and improve on coverage units, he could bypass Turner, if he hasn't already.

I'm very impressed too btw in our college scouts for finding two very much under the radar WRs like Wallace and Marlon Moore. Guys that no one was talking about before the draft.

Turner and Wallace are both the big men that would be great to have opposite Marshall in the red one, will be interesting to see which one wins the battle for that 5th WR spot.

Moore may just turn out to be un-cuttable. There, I just made up a word. Suck it, google spellcheck!

But if Moore and Wallace are neck and neck come final cuts, I'd rather see the guy who brings something...two things, actually, which we lack: size and speed.

We already have two sure-handed, not-tall guys in Bess and Camarillo, neither of whom is a burner.

Right now and until we see the results of the next 3 exhibition games, I see Pat Turner as little more than a progress-stopper, to use our own Head Coach's terminology.

Moore and Wallace IMO, are the two guys that should be the front runners for that #5 WR position

I'm hoping one of them does something over the next couple of pre season games to make the decision easier because right now I just can't make up my mind. I like both of them, a lot....and like you, I'm just not sold on Turner.

Did Cam look off to you? He did to me and after the half hearted attempt where he slowed down and made the pass seem overthrown I heard he was seen limping, while I love the guy and his hands have been money in the bank, we need speed and Moore brings that which is more upside than Cam has imho. Maybe its time to move on?!:hi5:

As for Wallace V Turner I'll take Wallace all day long, at this point in time.:wink2:

Thanks it only took my happy *** 5 yrs to figure that out. Thanks for the help. I hope camirillo gets back (groin side lined him right,)

But with that knee and now groin I think we probably keep a fighter like him. Parcels and Sparano are loyal to there true people. Ex. Cam, Ferg , Penny, Fasano

I edited above thanks to you so I only look like a fool with you for now lol.

    Beers god love em

Yeah, I was actually impressed by Moore, Wallace and Turner. We'll have to see what develops but I'm still pulling for Wallace at this point, just because of the intangibles.

That is a good problem to have, toss in RGM still has one more game to show that he can return kicks at a high level.

Moore has that speed, Wallace has some speed, and more size, and I still like Pat Turner unlike most.

4 good Wr prospects, 1 #5 Wr slot, 2 practice squad slots, I'd love it if there were an NFL Developmental league to send 1 or 3 of those guys to and give them a chance to play and develop.

I say ditch RGM and let Wallace and Moore try kick/punt returns! As I keep saying, we don't need another Bess on the team. Neither Bess nor RGM are fast enough to threaten at kick returns so I say don't try! And that gives them there roster spot.

Grice is a 4.3 guy Hulkfish, that is why I bring him up and amazingly, we all have overlooked Julius Pruitt who had just as good a game as Turner/Wallace/Moore.

We have a nice crop of UDFa Wr's to sort through.

I hope he makes the team as the 5th WR. Has more upside as both a WR and ST guy as the other candidates imo.

Rather take Turner. He seemed pretty effective in the slot even as a 6'5 wideout.

That's weird. Was this literally his first time EVER doing that? You'd think they would've had him practice it first. Especially considering we just gave our punter a contract extension. We don't want a guy running free at him.

Really? I thought he was a Bess clone? That's how I kept hearing, that they were one in the same? If he's a 4.3 guy then why isn't he taking Bess' spot? You know, same skill-set with better speed.

Because DBess has made his bones, and RGM's hammy really hurt his chances to make the roster.

TBH, I'd prefer trying to acquire Logan, then choose the best two of the UDFa Wr's and then cut the rest on 9/4.

They only have so much time to evaluate these guys, then you really have to move forward with the guys who fit what you do the best in your judgment.

People who think RGM is nothing more than a Bess clone can't see past the dreads and that they both went to UH. They are similar in stature and appearance only, totally different recievers although both give you a lot in the football IQ department.

Puka-head - no, I wasn't making any assumptions based off of looks. That's what I had been reading. I never read anywhere the guy was a burner???

Padre31 - If you think so, I don't know who the kid is? I'd hate to lose Moore, Wallace or Turner before they get another game or two though.
