Have had a trip to Vegas booked for NFL opening weekend. 8 guys, 4 of which are married. Well, apparently two of the married ones cant go anymore. Their wives wont let them! What a bunch of chumps
I don't mind my married friends with awesome wives like SICK (rare), but I understand where you're coming from.
I'm not saying this is the case but.....I have a buddy who when he decides he doesn't want to do something with the boys he says, "My wife won't let me." Just sayin. On the topic, if this trip has been planned for a while and the wives knew about and now out of the blue are saying they can't go, that's pretty weak. However, if their wives didn't know and they decided to just tell them now.....I get why they're wives are giving them a hard time.
Well there could be a couple sides to this.... One.... their wives proudly display your friends neutered nuts on a mantle... Or two..... those guys may have done something in the past to lose their wives trust Either way, your party is now down to 6 and if you can't get into any trouble with just 6 guys.......just put more effort into it. It could be worse, bro...... the 4 wives could be coming with you
If the wives didn't trust these guys, why marry them in the first place? This is just a case of the wives not wanting their husbands to have fun without them. The problem isn't so much 6 instead of 8 guys. Its that we booked things based on 8 people coming. We booked cabanas at the pool, tables at clubs, skybox at the sportsbook, etc. based on 8 people. So now its just going to cost the 6 a little more. I'm sure we'll do a good job getting into trouble either way though
I went to Vegas on business with four other guys and when it came time to go out at night one of the guys wouldn't go. His wife wouldn't let him and she wasn't even there. He stayed in the room and talked to her on the phone. I said why don't you go anyway. He said she will call every half hour or so and make sure I'm here. Pretty lame if you ask me. The guy gets a ton of stuff at work now from everyone in the office. It's hilarious.
As much as it sucks, the only thing you can do is move on, and feel sorry for your friends who will eventually come to regret letting their wives run their lives.
Reason - because all the married guys don't have to go to Vegas to get laid - they just have to go home. I'm only engaged but spend a lot less time out at the bars. When you aren't there to meet girls it is just loud and expensive. I have a fridge full of beer, Sunday Ticket and the girl at home. What is the point?
Snap out of it and show some compassion for these poor slobs...Take a moment to appreciate what they're going through. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fmban3Fio14"]YouTube- Louis CK Saddest Handjob in America[/ame]
until you wake up the next morning realizing that you married the blonde from the vegas show at the chapel next to the cabana you rented and now hate yourself too.enjoy your trip!
if roles were reverse i think some of the married guys would be saying no also. I was lucky i was able to go on a guys only trip early in my marriage (when I was 24). Now that I have kids things are different. Now we have trips with both couples and singles. Everyone has great time together. Maybe if you try that all your buddies can go. If no then get use not having your friends along on your outing.
I've also learned from life experiences that those who call other men *****whipped more often than not are the most *****whipped of them all and are deflecting. Kind of like the closet queen who yells ****** at everyone.
I agree with you on this. I wouldn't need to go to Vegas without the wife. I get the whole 'What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas' thing but I'd never do anything that would warrant keeping it from my wife. Of course the single guys would talk smack about being whipped and this and that. I'd have to disagree. It's more about having the balls not to **** around while still enjoying yourself.
Let me put it another way - the married guys would be there in Vegas, partying and gambling, and then all of a sudden would realize their single friends were out hooking up with some gorgeous girl while the married guys were sitting around a black jack table losing a bunch of money to some old guys.
You know, you never heard a wife tell her girlfriends that she can't go shopping with them because "my husband won't let me" that never happens NEVAR HAPPENS!!!111oneone
Not true i have told my wife she can't shop, if i didn't We would have a new living room set every week. But keep in mind married guys have a responsibilty to their wife and family. And a trip to Vegas may not be in the finacial plans, or was but the AC or furnace broke or the car needs repairs the roof sprung a leak. And add children into it and its a bigger issue than "his wife won't let him go" Or maybe sometimes it sucks going to places like Vegas with single buddys. Let me ask the single guys something, how many times have u not gone over to ur married friends houses or parties or what have u because it was a "boring" family oriented get together? Yeah didn't feel like listening to the screaming kids or nagging wife?
You guys have it wrong. These guys don't want to not go. They desperately want to go. Their wives just won't let them. If they didn't want to go, I'd have no problem in the first place.
Sucks to be married then if thats how you feel. Why be jealous if youre truly happy that youre married? I guess what I dont get is, if Stringer's friends wives trust them why shouldnt they be allowed to go to vegas? To me the only exception to that would be if there is a child there because then youre talking about a responsibility that both parents share. I would laugh at anyone telling me I cant do something without a damn good reason.
Never. I am always down for a party. Even if their parents are there. And Ive been the guy who gets the nagging wife to shut up and have a good time more then once.
