Florida's Maurkice Pouncey is a portion of the problem based on allegations that he accepted 100k in the interim between the SEC Title Game and the Sugar Bowl blowout win vs Cinci.

I find the NCAA's hypocrisy somewhat breathtaking in all of this, they make billions off the labor of the athletes, and even when it is obvious a player will be drafted and they use an advance on their Rookie contract it is a violation of the NCAA's rules?

I'd suspect NCAA "Rule #1" is:

Well, you fill in the blank.

"USC-ya later, alligator"? ... Okay, you can throw vegetables at me for that one.

And yes, the NCAA is pretty hypocritical at best, and corrupt at worst. Their investigations are a joke, and their punishments almost never harm the "guilty" parties, just the programs.

From what I understand the worst that can happen is that the Gators could be stripped of that one win. So really there's not much to worry about for Gator fans. I guess fans of lesser programs will get some joy out of it, but that's about it.

And I agree the NCAA is one of the worst governing organizations I've ever seen. Their policies and rules are draconian and convoluted. And they are actually a disincentive to any school trying to do the right thing.

I told a couple people about this here privately 6-8 months ago....this is only part of the investigation...and the 2 prime "targets" were/are LSU and Florida and it is potentially much more than vacating one game...there are a lot of things at play,,,, 40 some arrests in 4 years and every secondary violation known to man from the Carl Moore "girlfriend" call to violation of dead time, they got some people pissed .............. and yes there are a lot of clouds over G'ville..........as for the NCAA, we can all agree on that organization.........................

So what kind of action is taken against the "real monsters"?--- the agents. They know they're in violation yet they deliberately continue and provoke this type of behavior at players' and schools' expense.
