I will respectfully disagree. The Pro Football Hall of Fame is in Ohio, which makes the state interesting and worth visiting all by itself.
I have been, went to Marino's induction, it is the worst HOF out of them all, the Tennis HOF is even better...It isnt a reason at all, please if you think about going, save your money......and also it is in Akron...yet another reason not to go...

Cleveland really isn't as bad as people make it out to be - if you play to the strengths. A tourist isn't probably going to have any amazing attractions (other than the RocknRoll Hall of Fame) but there are some great restaurants, a nice theater and orchestra and some really cool artsy areas. I think living here is much better than visiting here.
The city itself is all shades of grim, but it was the people I met there that put it over the top of the suck-o-meter. There were a couple of nice people, but literally everyone else - from hotel personnel, to people everywhere I went - was absolutely miserable. It's like they were all extremely unhappy and wanted others to share in their misery. And that wasn't just my observation; I was there with a team on business and that was the unanimous opinion.
Agreed. I've been to Cleveland twice, both times in the mid 90s as a kid, and it was the most depressing place I've ever been. The city looked like a mausoleum. The people I saw were lively enough, but what a depressing place to live. Even Michigan was better, and Michigan is a dump.
The NFL HoF is not in Akron. It is in Canton. They are not the same city, the HoF is like 30 min from Akron.

Yeah, and that picture in your sig says all that needs to be said about Miami. Those three guys are only there to enjoy the weather, be celebrities and not pay state taxes. You never saw Jordan or Kobe or Bird doing any of that ****. They have no respect for the game, any of them, especially LeBron. And I'm not an NBA fan by any stretch of the imagination so I'm not just trying to hate, but seriously, those guys are more worried about their star appeal and getting their face on tv than they'll ever be worried about basketball. When this euphoria fades into realism and you come to terms with the fact that the Heat aren't going to win a title then that #6 most miserable city may be higher than it currently is.
This might be the dumbest post ever made on this forum or any other forum. They all took paycuts. This is ALL about basketball. You never saw Jordan do that? He became a free agent for the first time when he won his first championship and played with two hall of famers. he didn't need to. You never saw Magic do that? he refused to come out of Mich State if the Bulls took him #1. he then went onto a team with two other hall of famers. What he did was worse. You never saw Bird do that? he went onto a team with 3 other hall of famers. he didn't need to. you never saw Kobe do that? he demanded a trade, and tried to force his way out till they got him Gasol. What he did was worse. LOL! not going to win a title? it is about HOW MANY buddy. Just LOFL really. Not hating? you are consumed by it. It is sad how much hate you just spewed, you just typed a bunch of nonsense. This city is what it is. Probably better than yours. Go ahead and resent us. Go ahead and be jealous of our basketball organization. Go ahead and be jealous of our weather, culture, people, beauty.
The only misery in Miami has to do with the humidity. We're currently leading the USA in schadenfreude.
all 3 taking paycuts so they can play together and try for a title isn't about basketball? i'm not a huge fan of LeBron's ego, i'll admit that. But i'm also not a huge fan of all the old NBA greats all putting their two cents about how they "disapprove" about the move, too. Where was all this calling out when Kobe and Shaq joined forces in LA many years ago? Just because it's unprecedented to this level doesn't mean it's poor sportsmanship or bad for the game. It's actually quite the opposite - more people paid attention to this story than the NBA ever enjoys this time of year. It was tremendous for the sport. Ah yes, this post has a lot to do with Cleveland.
