That is a helluva rumor. that was a dead giveaway that something big was happening. You should have called in to ESPN. That is a nice one.

Now I sit around waiting for my connects to bestow tickets on me when they want.

In August...single game tickets go on sale.

That will be the last chance.

I am going to be there on Opening Night. You better believe that.

Please. Handicapped his town team? They had an extra $30M to offer Bosh, and what did Bosh say? "**** Cleveland". Nobody wants to play there. Who else is he holding hostage? The Knicks? They didn't seem to have a hard time signing Amare without a commitment from LeBron.

Say what you want about what he's doing with FA, but LeBron has done everything he should on the court for his team. He's improved himself every offseason. He's not only one of the best offensive players, but one of the best defensive players in the league. I'm not sure how you can say he hasn't been anything but focused on the game of basketball itself.

Teams tanking in the NBA isn't anything new, and certainly isn't because of LeBron. He gave himself options, just like Wade and Bosh and Amare and Boozer. Thats how sports works. You have to prepare. Cleveland isn't entitled to LeBron.

I don't think anybody hated the Bulls prior to this FA period. Personally, it was all the hate coming from that fan base that made me start to hope they would strike out.

If Lebron stays in Cleveland (that's been my feeling since this all started and still appears to be the most likely outcome) will it be on a 3 year deal so he has the flexibility to bolt then if (when IMO) the team doesn't win? Or will he sign the longer deal b/c of the expected change in the CBA?

Whats funny is that Woj wouldn't even be read right now if it wasn't for LeBron. Its just growing the sport, and growing Woj's page views.

With Boozer, they will. Let's say they get the 5 Seed and play the 4 Seed Celtics. A Boozer-equipped Bulls can win that series. Then they run into the Magic in round two and it's all over.

I'm positive that was posted in this thread already during the Bosh frenzy earlier.

Being reported now...Toronto has relented and has opened negotiations for a S&T with Miami.

Trade Exception and a future 2nd round pick. Pound sand Colangelo. You tried to bigfoot us...and you failed. Riley beat you.

Beasley, Chalmers, Toronto Lotto pick OFF the table.

If Lebron is still on the table, don't you think it would prudent of the Heat to trade Beasley and Chalmers if that brings us Lebron?

If I'm Pat Riley I'm working Lebron right now and demanding a commitment.

There's no rush. Just work out the parameters of two S&T's w/ toronot, one including Beasley and one not. If LBJ says yes, you trade Beas. If he doesn't you don't. There is no rush from our end anymore. We've done all the heavy lifting required to be in the LBJ stakes right to the end.

Unless Lebron comes in with the same "I'm willing to take less money" mentality that Wade and Bosh have. In that case, keeping Beasley would give the Heat another player or another chip to use to find a PG or big.

From my understanding... they still have enough to do a max deal. It averages at 16mil a year, but starts lower than that and finishes higher.

or dump Taj Gibson and James Johnson.

they are almost 3.5 mil short.

i was reading somewhere they can start the deal at less then the max for boozer (heard 13.7 though I dont know if thats true) and still have enough for Lebron.

Are you really sure? I heard the Boozer deal starts around 13mil?

You know WWWAAAYYY more about the NBA cap than me. I got no clue honestly. But if you could, double check it. I found this:

Hearing it's not $80 million, but less.... it will probably start around $13 million too.

If so, Chicago has enough for LBJ.

    That is accurate.

But that puts boozer at MAX status in year 3. RIGHT ON TIME with a Rose Max contract to go with a Bron max and a Noah 10 mil a year deal.

this all assuming that they dump Deng.

You are talking about a roster that will be in the 70 million in payroll range assuming that nobody else gets a raise.

Which would make them pay the luxury tax for the first time in franchise history. and damn near 40 million of penalty under the new proposed CBA.

    uhhhhhhhhhh......no.

They will sign a 5 mil a year option and make sure they stay under the cap till they resign Rose.

I dunno Sec. The amount of money Bron would bring into the Bulls would easily pay for that luxury tax a few times over.

They are in play for LBJ. Will it happen? Hopefully not. But they are in play bro...

Michael Wilbon on LeBatard trying to convince everyone listening that the Bulls are actually a serious team.

Am I the only person on the planet who hears "Joakim Noah" and thinks "So what?" Rose isn't exactly hot stuff either. That core is horrendous.
