I remember talk radio around that time. The national guys were all taking such glee in Miami's struggles. Lines like "Miami is done in professional sports for at least the rest of the decade" were batted around.

Joke's on them, because the decade is not yet up!

And my favorite Chris Bosh tweet of them all......

OK man I can finally leave the house and enjoy my final summer as a college student. Definitely playing soccer somewhere in Miramar after Spain/Germany, who's down?

Henderson's already in town, AFAIK. If he's as good as Rivals.com said he was when he signed with USC, then Jacory Harris will have plenty of time. (But of course, he might be mysteriously downgraded two stars for no apparent reason.)

Alright, thread hijack over. Bosh seems more excited about being a Heat than we fans are to have him here. Which team winds up being the more popular ticket, the Fins or the Heat? It's going to be close.

I think he means at the same time.

The Heat are a legitimate contender this year and will probably land the 3 Seed at worst, not to mention for the next four years after that. The Fins have a tougher road ahead of them, but if they can handle the first half of the schedule then they have a realistic shot at the playoffs, and should only get better in 2011.

I'd love to get the triple crown of a football, basketball, and baseball championship in Miami all in one year, but that's asking too much.

    The Panthers are permanently rebuilding.

More tweets from Wallace saying that Riley and Wade made it clear to Bosh that Spoelstra is the guy. Also that Bosh doesn't want to comment on LeBron because of the potential tampering effect. (Eff you, David Stern.)

Lastly, Wade is pimping purpleheartclothing.com as the source for his Wade County t-shirt.

Speaking of venom, Bill Simmons hasn't tweeted in over two hours. He must have gone into shock when Wade and Bosh talked about taking less money.

I think he's putting the final touches on his Pat Riley disguise and planning to go rob a bank.

Edit: Wilbon really needs to stop saying "Bulls fans" when he really just means himself.

It's a contract extension, so Ferguson is now wrapped up for eight years and $73.6 million, with $34.8m of that guaranteed.

Hey, if the Jets want to lock up a second-tier LT, fine with me. Ferguson is good, but he's not in the Thomas/Long/Clady category.

Speaking of reporters, Ric Bucher is MIA. No pun intended. Has not uttered a word or a tweet about Bosh to the Heat.

He might be working on a Spoelstra disguise for that bank robbery.

Jared Dudley probably read Ochostinko's twitter account, which is openly hinting that LeBron (referenced as "#6") is in an "Empire State of mind."

I'll believe it when I see it.

OT: Jared Dudley is one of those players that is just goofy to watch. Like he shouldn't be playing basketball as much as he should be doing stand-up comedy somewhere.

Clutch play for Phoenix in the playoffs though.

If Jared Dudley knew, one of the reporters would know.

Nobody knows anything, because LeBron isn't telling anyone anything. He's keeping it all to himself. He's smart enough to realize what this is doing for the NBA, and thus himself.
