Unless Lebron is set on staying in Cleveland, it's a no brainer, if Bosh goes to the Heat. He knows that a Bosh, Wade and Lebron team will win championships for years to come.

Looks like pretty much every reporting source believes that Wade and Bosh will team up in Miami. I wonder how much of that is just conventional wisdom and how much of that is based on actual knowledge of the players' thinking.

I'm not doubting it's going to happen, I'm just curious about the specifics behind the reports.

 

Just to pile on to Ric Bucher, I was in SFO last November on my way to North Carolina to meet up with a couple of members here for the Panthers-Dolphins game. Bucher (who lives in San Jose, CA) walked by me as I was on my laptop. I stood up and yelled, Bucher!"

He turned around with a smile on his face, pleased that someone recognized him. Once his gaze caught my eyes, I followed it up with, "You ****ing suck!"

His expression dropped faster than the stock market in 1930 and he turned around and walked off.

To his credit though, most fans of every NBA team feel that he has it in for their franchise, so if everyone is hating him equally, he must be doing something right...right? I know Laker fans feel that he dogs our team all the time, and clearly Heat fans feel the same way as do others.

 

It won't happen, but I would LOVE to see a total curveball be thrown and Wade and LeBron team up to split Memphis's MLE or some crap like that. Just to see everyone in the media's heads just kersplode simultaneously.

 

The media would love that because it means a weakened Miami. A strong Heat would kill them.

Ya but....its a pattern consistent with mainstream national sprts media that cleary does not think highly of any of our teams. When the Marlins beat the Yankees it was all about how the Yankees lost rather than how the Marlins beat them. When the Dolphins unleashed the Wildcat at the Pats, same deal, and the Wildcat was ridiculed when we used it praised when other teams started using it. With Dwayne Wade its pretty obvious they want him to leave Miami. There are many more examples, they're not trying to hide it though of course they'd never admit it. You'll never see an ESPN Miami, and if they ever do, it'll be all about northeastern teams.

Arison came out of meeting with no commitment but with the understanding that Wade's decision is not a toss-up. Miami is the overwhelming favorite, but Wade is still thinking about decisions only because it's Chicago.

Meeting was about direction of franchise post-riley and assurances that when the salaries get huge in 3 years that Mickey will continue to spend, which he was given.

 

That's fine. That July 9 party at the Fontainebleau will be all the announcement Wade needs to make.

 

I love the reports that Wade is scheduled to be at an "amusement park" with his kids on Thursday, possibly the biggest day of his life.

Do his kids need to see Harry Potter that bad?

 

Broussard (not that he knows anything) just reported on espn that Wade is back in the Heat camp recruiting players to come to Miami. Only way he leaves is if we can't land solid running partners for him, and I couldn't blame him for that.

Ira just reported four Heat buses pulled up to the Nova gym, staff in Wade shirts. Media told to vacate gym.

 

Ira tweeting that all signs point to Wade in MIA, Heat still waiting on LeBron.

 

I think if Wade wanted to sign with Chicago, he would've committed when they asked him at the meeting. Just my 2 cents.

I think by far the person with the toughest decision is LeBron. It's clear he wants to leave Cleveland, but how he will be viewed is obviously a concern. And Bosh just wants to go where the money is, and is willing to follow around D-Wade and or LeBron.

Broussard reproted this morning that Bosh has flat out refused a S&T to CLE personally to LeBron. Bosh would love to play with LBJ but only in CHI or MIA.

LBJ is never going to be able to convince a superstar to come to CLE. It's just not an appealing market to anyone who doesn't live there. Unless CLE can swing trades, they are never going to be a major player on the FA market.

I think LBJ has to factor that into equation.

Cleveland grasping at straws. Bosh is not going to Cleveland. And what assets does Cle. have exactly?

Varaejo, Hickson, West, Mo Williams, and how can they take back Turk or another bad contract? Cle would be gutted and their roster would end up no better than anybody elses.

Not sure where you got this idea when almost all reports are that he is staying in CLE? He loves being close to Akron and having his friends own this city.

Why would Bron be trying to recruit Bosh to CLE if he wanted to leave so bad?

As far as Cleveland's assets. What does Miami have that is so much better than Varajao, Hickson, and West's contract (worth $5 mill but able to be bought out for $500k).

I know Beasley is part of the option - but Hickson is a decent young piece and the Cavs are more than willing to take on bad contracts. Grasping at straws is a bit strong.

Please show me where the $16.5 million comes from without toronto taking back the antawn Jamison contract or completely gutting the roster, which defeats the whole purpose. It's not going to happen. Wade palying in chicago is a million times more likely than Bosh ending up in cleveland
