Supposedly LeBron has a presser on Monday to "announce his decision" two days before FA's can sign..that tells me LJ is not going anywhere...why let oneself be beaten up by everyone in Northern Ohio two days early if you do not have to go through it?

My reassured confidence was looking at a thread on RealGM and seeing a poster with Pat Riley in their avy.

Pat Riley will not lose. He may lose on LeBron. Hell, maybe even Chris Bosh. But he cannot and will not lose Dwyane Wade. It would be a career ender for him and I don't think he's all too ready for that. He put too much into 2010.

 

I wouldn't be too concerned about "betraying" Cleveland fans if I were LeBron. If he leaves, it's because the franchise couldn't build around him. The fans ought to be POed with the GM and owner, not LeBron.

This is just my opinion....but....

I think Wade and Bosh are dragging this around a little just to reiterate that Riley did not meet with Bron or Bosh before the 1st....

I think its a smokescreen to avoid the possibility of other teams claiming tampering...

 

This free agency period is revealing how utterly clueless most of these reporters are. ESPN didn't even realize Miami had the most cap space until SAS showed up and kicked them with the steel-toed boot of reality. Local beat writers are too busy panicking or trying to break news and so their reports have become totally unreliable.

What an utter clusterfudge. The sports media is quickly becoming as bad if not worse than the actual mainstream media.

Chris Bosh himself on Twitter is the only semi-reliable source, and I say that because he's a drama queen and I could see him messing with the media and fans to draw more attention to himself, thus that picture / caption from last night....

 

Wade needs to tweet that his heart is still in Miami or something though.... that would ease the situation.

Old Fart Mode ON: I think it has a lot to do with the speed and ease of access of posting a story nowadays. Before something had to be researched fully before going on television or print. Now it's just a click away. Most want to be the first to scoop a story or get hits on their site, so they'll post the newest rumor without even bothering to research it.

This past week or so has been one of the worst cases of bad sports journalism I've ever seen.

 

I don't think the format is to blame, I think you've got a bunch of biased people who are determined less to report the unblemished truth and more to fill an agenda. A lot of reporters here seem to be putting material out just to make things seem bad for Miami.

 

Riley will have the last say. This is Chris Bosh's last schedule visit by the way. Not sure about Dwyane.

I'm sure Wade will give Riley a last opportunity IF HE'S EVEN SERIOUS ABOUT JOINING THE BULLS... and I'm sure Bosh will be very much involved.

If the belief was ever that Bosh was out of play, wouldn't we be jumping on Amare right about now?

The difference is that no one talks about the wrath of Miami fans as if their collective hatred can strike someone dead at a moment's notice. I'm EXTREMELY skeptical of the way Cleveland fans are placed on a pedestal of fanaticism.

Besides, if they direct their anger towards LBJ, then they deserve to keep losing, because they'll be blaming the wrong person.
