Last night's highlights! MTL vs SSK http://www.cfl.ca/video/index/id/12125 TOR vs CGY http://www.cfl.ca/video/index/id/12131
That was quick. Watching it on TV via PS3, hopefully it doesn't mess up. Out to watch it unless quality goes bad on PS3.
Got it up and running and working on my flatscreen TV. Nice, the picture is 100% better than the regular stream on a laptop.
A Bowman has really gotten lighter, at OSU he was a huge Wr, in the CFL he looks like he downsized a good 15 pds.
Phil Hunt with the sack...two or three years in the CFL that cat will take the Cam Wake/Ricky Foley path to the big bucks in the NFL.
Phil Hunt with Sack #2, he ran right past the fmr #1 overal Rottier. And the Bombers score a TD on a kick block...nice.
Phil Hunt is killing Kevin Glenn, he did draw the 15 yd flag but that Tackle is having nightmares already about Hunt blowing by him.
Nah, WPG is much better than people gave them credit for heading into the season...that is until Buck Pierce hits his head on the door frame of his vehicle and winds up with Concussion #459... BTW..stream is 3 minutes behind the actual game Hunt with sack #3..
That is one of the other different things about the CFL, teams play each other 2 or 4 times, one game early in the season doesn't mean much. No game on Saturday night...Sunday is BC v Edmonton, so far every home team has won...that ends Sunday night!.. (not really, it just sounded bold)
Wpg plays the ***** cats 4 times in their first 7 games I was at the game and met Dieter Brock who QB for the Rams when they had Dickerson
I recall D Brock playing with the LA Rams, he had a legendarily strong throwing arm but iirc he was injured in his time in LA? Buck Pierce stays healthy WPG will be a bear to deal with, there is alot of talent on that team.
IF Pierce can stay healthy the Bombers will be the surprise team of the season, and my true darkhorse......
Rewatch Phil Hunt destroy Simon Rottier again...why not? BC v Edmonton tonight, I suspect Ricky Ray has a big game, but I also think no one finds better talent more consistently than Wally Buono and Co., the DE who is stepping into the Chris Wilson/Cam Wake/Ricky Foley "featured' role as the pass rushing DE is Domini Pittman from Northern Alabama were the Bowden Bros are Coaches. He signed with BC solely because "Cam Wake went up there to play" I suspect Pittman and Keron Williams will form the best DE duo in the CFL, Williams is also a player to watch for a NFL jump. Wally Buono's BC Lions have placed 4 players on the Dolphins preseason Roster, he and Roy Shivers are mad geniuses, and it would stand to reason "if' folks wish to scout the CFL for NFL talent, 7pm tonight is a good place to do so..that and Casey Printers does a fine Randall Cunningham imitation on the field.
These are two solid, tough teams Starry, do not expect 60 pts in this game, these are both sleeper teams to appear in the Grey Cup.
Finished watching Toronto/Calgary game on replay yesterday so seen all four games now. I think if I had to Power Rank the teams I would go: 1. Winnipeg 2. British Colombia 3. Saskatchewan 4. Montreal 5. Calgary 6. Hamilton 7. Edmonton 8. Toronto Have to keep in mind that was the first four full CFL games I've watched, so I really don't have anything to base off of except week one. Figure that gives me an unique perspective so wanted to rank them. I imagine the two most likely candidates to move up or down would be Edmonton going up and Calgary going down. How off base am I? On SportsNation today they showed the play where Printers plowed into the table, then Cindy Brunson (filling in for Michelle Beadle) said her favorite team was Saskatchewan. BC and Saskatchewan should be a great game this week.
*Wendy's Friday Night CFL Football Argos v Winnipeg tonight or: Cleo Lemon vs Adarius Bowman and Phil Hunt Argos have a long losing streak going, but I think they pull out the win tonight. http://www.atdhe.net/index.html One thing I love about the CFL is they are mostly open source, any game can be watched online via streaming, even the sorta crappy ATHDE.net carries their games. . .
Thursday, July 1: Montreal at Saskatchewan, 7 p.m. ET Saturday, July 10: Calgary at Hamilton, 1 p.m. ET Saturday, July 17: Edmonton at Saskatchewan, 4 p.m. ET Saturday, July 24: Edmonton at Winnipeg, 6 p.m. ET Saturday, July 31: Hamilton at Saskatchewan, 6 p.m. ET Friday, Sept. 10: Calgary at Edmonton, 9 p.m. ET Friday, Sept. 17: Calgary at Saskatchewan, 9 p.m. ET Friday, Sept. 24: Montreal at Winnipeg, 8 p.m. ET Friday, Oct. 1: Montreal at Calgar, 9:00 p.m. ET Friday, Oct. 8: Edmonton at Hamilton, 7:30 p.m. ET Friday, Oct. 15: Hamilton at Toronto, 7:30 p.m. ET Friday, Oct. 22: Montreal at Hamilton, 7:00 p.m. ET Friday, Oct. 29: Montreal at Toronto, 7:00 p.m. ET Friday, Nov. 5: Calgary at Winnipeg, 8:00 p.m. ET Stamps v TiCats, imho a more or less depleted Oline for Calgary will hinder them long term this year. 1pm tomorrow on NFLN.
Wish I had it. I'll probably catch the Calgary game online live but might have to watch replay if I have plans during the day. Definitely going catch the Roughriders and Lions that night, my boy Durant going get it done! Ready for some Friday Night Football.
Yeah, they replay that Printers hits the table hit several times on ESPN. 1 game it is hard to really have a power ranking, injuries and adjustments are everything in the CFL..the same as the NFL. For example BC's Keron Williams is o-u-t with a groin, and the dude is NFL quality.
And Owens takes it back for a TD! One thing, imho, that the NFL should look at is CFL style rules for returners, in the CFL they look at Returners as a offensive player, in the NFL they mostly just care about securing the football. A good CFL Returner can easily rake in 180 yds in returns and TD's per game.
That was a good game to watch. Argos break 9 game losing streak, and it went down to an onside kick attempt.
Newbie HC Starry, the BB's had a win last week that surprised everyone, doing that two games in a row is tough for a newbie. WPG is not out of it by any means, Buck P is a stud, as soon as Lapolice learns his craft...watch out.
Yeah WPG looked really, really impressive week one so I think they'll be tough and Buck did look good too. I remember hearing about the new HC but didn't really consider that. Halftime of Tiger-Cats game, Thigpen is becoming must-see TV. Throwing up a spoiler for those that didn't see Hamilton vs Calgary and want to see replay. Spoiler Another exciting game coming down to the wire, heartbreak for poor Hammer. Hopefully tonight's game can continue with the close games, long as Durant and the Roughriders come out on top
